So I want to put a few disclaimers down to get it out of the way.
1. This wish list is not a list of demands. Just things I would like in the game if it was possible. ( Feel free to ignore)
2. This list is not meant to be reasonable. Some folks might wish they could play ESO as a pikachu... Doable in a round-a-bout way.... But... Yeah, I will try to be more reasonable than that.
3. I will try to stay on theme but I will make no guarantees.
Okay so let's get started.
Parkour.
Simply put, If I see a place I want to get there. Somehow. I find it fun being able to get on that lamp in the crafting area in Rimmen. If I fits I sits. But why can't I get on a horse and jump onto the banisters? Invisible walls. How about that rock- Oh... Nope. Invisible wall. I get there is a reason. I don't know what that reason is. But I see a way up, I want to press the space bar until I am up. This isn't no climbing up walls and jumping into hay carts type of game... Okay that would be cool... But um. Why can't I get onto that rock, or that pole, or that... Ummm. That thing that looks big enough to have collision? xD I still have fun trying to get onto that thing, wherever and whatever it might be. It is always fun seeing if I can get to a place the devs might not have thought players should get to.
Any mentions of the Lilmothiit
Anyone know about the fox people of the black marsh? I had to dig into the wiki about them. If I happened to miss a lore book or something, please point it out. But I am excited about any possibility or mention. Just another tid bit of information to dive into right along with the mysteries of the snow elves and the dwemer... Or really most of Tamriel for that matter.
Speaking of vulpines...
Anything really fox related is just another exciting thingy to try to collect. Pit wolf? Yeah, it's a wolf... But it looks like a fox! Ebony Fox Totem? I will plunder all of Riften for a half a dozen and more. Mounts? Yes please. Pets? Hmm. Do they come in red? Also thank you modeling team.
Swimming
Dive dive dive! Okay, I understand that the closest thing to diving is finding the biggest cliff and leaping off of it.... And hoping the water is deep enough to not die when we hit the bottom. I also understand this might be a game engine problem and swimming is limited to what we got. But maybe, possibly, let us fight the slaughter fish and sea serpents.... Or have water shoe potions just because that would be kinda cool! = 3
Skill Lines
I am always excited to look at skill line and see what it does. Changes, new additions, you name it. How to use this thing, to do that thing. So would it be possible to slip one in for unarmed combat? I could see buffs going towards recourse gained back. Maybe we could have morphs that turn unarmed attacks into magical based attacks. Fist wraps or something as 'weapons' or ring slots that take up the off hand and main hand slots.
Weapon Variants
So the ice staff fires a single attack like the flame staff and both their heavy attacks are similar to the light with their own special animation and more damage.... Lightning staff is the more like the restro where it's heavy is a beam...
But what if we could have a fire or frost beam variant instead? Hear me out. What if you had varriants of staves that did the opposite of the current variety but you sacrifice range for intensity. Or maybe, instead of staves you have canes?
Ooh, you could also do other weapons and shields this way. Curved swords for slashing and possible bleed debuffs and straight swords for piercing attack. Hammers for blunt damage, but war picks for that stabbity stab. Axes can be hack or slash.
And then shields. We got our normal shield, but what if we could have more bash damage from a buckler with less stamina requirements but in sacrifice of blocking damage?
Armor Variations
Okay, hear me out. I know this might make things a little more complicated but... What if we could swap Armor Skills away from simply being 'Light, Medium, and Heavy' to 'Cloth, Leather, and Metal.'
How does that work?
Light armor could be a simple shirt, or robe. Nothing special. Medium? A jacket or jirkin. Something a bit thicker. Heavy? Gambeson. Have you tried cutting through 18 layers of linen? Not as easy as you think from what I seen.
Leather? Jacket to doublet to boiled leather. Rhere was actually some pretty tough leather armor back then.
So how to you make metal armor light? Heh. Scale to chainmail to Plate. Technically, plate is lighter to move in than chainmail due to weight distribution but the same yeah, this is a video game and logic can be thrown out the window. But this is also a wish list where I can wish these ideas could possibly be used or talked about sooo... Yeah!
Fly Mounts
Actually, I am okay with not having them. Lets face it. Some of us are bad drivers with just the X and Y axis... Why do we need our mounts to have a Z axis so we can crash into cliff sides and more invisible walls only to fall to our doom and be luaghed at by all the crows as they pick or pockets our pockets of all the shinies? ... Moving along. >. >
A second lux furniture merchant.
I predict that the furniture wheel will get bigger and bigger as more lux furniture gets added. Wouldn't it be cool if we saw stuff once a year instead of once every two or three? Okay, maybe that would drive the economy to make rare items that much more expensive.... But I'm not quite well acquainted with in game economics and more acquainted for my love of glowy things. Speaking of
Glowy things.
The more, the merrier. You can not have enough glowy things. Run out of ideas with glowy things? Same item model, different color of glow. Endless possibilities. You can not have enough glowy things. You can never have enough glowy things. May Meridia's light shine brightly and bring forth the glowy! All hail the glowy! Be they flowers or muchrooms. Or toads. Or calipers. Never enough glowy.
About Face
A button command that we can bind a key to that will let us turn around. It might not seem like something worth while but seeing the animation would be pretty neat!
Siege Towers
Not paying attention to the map? By-pass the wall with a slow moving and easily targetable siege tower. Move like a turtle, sting like an antilope. I was told that it was a terrible idea, but I could see it working out... Somehow... make it extra vulnerable to boiling oil so everyone in it is burning alive while just trying to get over that wall....
Perhaps knock on the door next time?
