A real shame this isn't a real location because it is as beautiful as it is hostile. Very much like the Vvardenfell motif yet twisted to fit Mephala's spiderkith. Unfortunately it was a one-off location for a quest.
I never tried to go back and see if I could get back there because I assumed I couldn't, but that Ayleid portal place in the Murkmire main quest was absolutely phenomenal.

Village of the Lost? I was there yesterday, revisiting it. Last year, I went through there to complete one of the Coldharbour quests and also to get the skyshard, and found it tough going, because my character was at a much lower level. Yesterday, I had the satisfaction of defeating all its bosses during the revisit, and taking numerous screendumps (I cycle through these for my PC desktop backgrounds!I never tried to go back and see if I could get back there because I assumed I couldn't, but that Ayleid portal place in the Murkmire main quest was absolutely phenomenal.
Yes, sadly you can't go back. I tried it because I also thought it was one of the most visually stunning places in the game. Same with the Sload's nervous system during the Summerset quest, and other planes (the Shimmering Sands, the Coloured Rooms etc.) that you can't access outside of questing.
There is a nice area out in the amberplasm sea in the Coldharbour public dungeon:
