Ever find yourself somewhere that isn't on or near the beaten path for players? There's nothing significant about it, or a Quest only brought you there once then you leave forever?

There's the Jerall Mountains Logging Track, that small chunk of map we're taken to during a segment of the Dark Brotherhood Questline. Unfortunately not accessible after completion.

As well as the very Eastern edge of the West Dominion Gate in Cyrodiil, at the end of a river canyon. If you're not an AD Character you can only visit once your Faction has captured the two AD Home Keeps to open the Gate.

A real shame this isn't a real location because it is as beautiful as it is hostile. Very much like the Vvardenfell motif yet twisted to fit Mephala's spiderkith. Unfortunately it was a one-off location for a quest.

I never tried to go back and see if I could get back there because I assumed I couldn't, but that Ayleid portal place in the Murkmire main quest was absolutely phenomenal. There are so many beautiful places in this game. There are many times when I stopped to simply look with awe in the middle of quests or activities, and yes, many times those are in remote locations with a view.

Agreed! I proposed a return to The Spiral Skein in one of the "next DLC" threads. I'd love to go back there.

Yes, sadly you can't go back. I tried it because I also thought it was one of the most visually stunning places in the game. Same with the Sload's nervous system during the Summerset quest, and other planes (the Shimmering Sands, the Coloured Rooms etc.) that you can't access outside of questing.

There is a nice area out in the amberplasm sea in the Coldharbour public dungeon:

There are SO many crafting nodes in there. It's packed.

Village of the Lost? I was there yesterday, revisiting it. Last year, I went through there to complete one of the Coldharbour quests and also to get the skyshard, and found it tough going, because my character was at a much lower level. Yesterday, I had the satisfaction of defeating all its bosses during the revisit, and taking numerous screendumps (I cycle through these for my PC desktop backgrounds! :) ).
