I worked with a guy who we sent to Argentina for an on-site visit and he came back with a few shots of toilets flushing and sinks draining as he thought it was the coolest thing.

I hope nobody wrecks his day by telling him the coriolis effect is actually not that reliable:
    https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/can-somebody-finally-sett/

I've verified this myself, by the way, seeing water draining through various drain holes here (Melbourne, Australia) clockwise or anticlockwise depending on the shape of the basin.

Water in my toilet just goes straight down, doesn't really swirl at all. Kinda like a tiny waterfall.

Everyone knows its flat by now, coriolis effect is just a hoax

Anyway id agree with @vsrs_au as the shape has quite more influence on the flow than the effect itself

Yes Australian toilets are more flush straight down, not the whirlpool type common in the US. Lol to the request tho

As an Aussie living in Europe - I can vouch for this.

Everyone marvels at the down under toilet bowls at the beginning ^^

European style, and you need something the size of an small swimming pool for it to be reliable.
Its most noticeable on weather where you have systems who is hundreds of km large.
But the battleships at Jutland over 100 years ago had analoge fire computers who factored in this and the curvature of the earth.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

That was normal in naval warfare, they just passed from printed tables to mechanical devices and then computers (but you cannot yet call a computer what was used in 1916, when the Jutland battle took place).
Balistic of cannons is something that was being studied since centuries earlier, as for great circle route and taking in account earth curvature, it was studied for sailing since after Columbus (and even a little earlier).

Math needed is pretty simple after all...

Yeah, we don't have toilets with about a bucket of water sitting in them only inches from your bits. Design is completely different.

That Coriolis Effect is seriously OP. Why wasn't this addressed on the PTS?

I think "Whisper of the Year" may be too modest of a title for this right here. This whisper. It's pure gold! It should be enshrined in the Hall of Fame for epic whispers. A bronze bust should be made of its image. And the man who wrote these amazing words should win a Pulitzer AND a Nobel Peace Prize.

I think it would make more sense to fill up the sink, and then remove the lid, let water go down naturally. Most toilets have curved sprinklers that would make the water swirl for maximum self-cleaning purposes.

(PS. Never thought I'd be discussing toilets on an ESO forum, but this never ceases to amaze me lol)
