Seriously, this is the part of the game that has been ignored for so long? Can you please increase the pop caps back to what they used to be? There are twice as many people in queue right now for my faction, than are actually in Cyrodiil!

AD has a Queue of over 2 hours right now because the lag is gone! They should have gotten new servers years ago!

Oh great, the queue bug still exists, got stuck at 84, done for the night, time to watch a movie.

FYI, if the game is going to have 2+ hour queues remove the inactivity logout when in queue, queueing is bad enough, having to worry about getting logged out while in queue, even worst.

    I can beat that.

Logged in and queued up at 86. After 75 mins the queue got stuck at 10; and did not move for 25 mins. I crashed and then restarted at 99. After another 80 mins I got into Grey Host. Awesome

I played for 15 mins and then crashed; restarted game and found myself dead at a wayshrine in Auridon.

    And then watched a movie.

Lol it didn't take long before the complaint with PVP was that it was working too well, and is now too popular.

But I agree the population caps should probably be revisited now that the server hardware can handle the existing population, apparently.

It's almost like what we've been saying for years is true -- fix PVP and the players will return. The faction change tokens alone should buy us some server maintenance on top of lining ZOS pockets.

Not really an option when you are homed in GH and that is where you and your friends play. I think about half our regular group made it in last night. Those of us on the west coast couldn't, since the queue was so long before we even got off work.

I think they need to be careful with raising the cap. Would be a bit pointless to increase and get back to major lag just with more people. Perhaps a gradual increase and see what the limits are.

Or they could simply add more servers like they just did. I seriously doubt this is a hit or miss shoot in the dark situation. Any Systems Engineer/Architect worth their salt who has the actual data available to them (i.e. a ZOS employee) can easily calculate load and knows exactly what the numbers are. As I mentioned in another thread, I just hope they bought enough to raise it, and we are not stuck with this low pop forever, as low pop has it's own issues aside from long queues, it basically changes the gameplay considerably.

I don't think it works like that. They didn't add anything. They just replaced.

Only ZOS knows that, but since PVE performs about the same and PVP just got a HUGE performance boost, it sort of goes without saying there are more compute resources dedicated to Cyrodiil now than there were two weeks ago. The same thing happened every MYM, they dedicate more resources, it runs great for the event with 10x the amount of players, the event ends and it ran like garbage again. They basically gave Cyrodiil more horsepower, how much more, who knows?

It's higher than than. Routinely see 90+ on the counter addon. Second hand I've heard it's around 100 and then increases by 1 for each player in queue. I don't think it's a static cap.

Only 270 times 2 (with two regular PvP Cyrodiil zones) at a time?

That will not work out well, even if they completely "fix" PvP.

If it is hitting 90+ now, then they already raised it slightly.

That was my thought, too-- that perhaps some of the servers were repurposed from PvE to PvP.

But another possibility is that the Cyrodiil servers were among the oldest and neediest in the game, and that the new harder hardware in those servers therefore had a bigger impact than the new hardware in the newer servers.

Only ZOS knows for sure, though.

    Edit: Spelling correction.

Region locked servers would help, it's silly to allow entry for the whole world onto one popular server campaign.

NA mega server should be only game clients from NA, SA, AU, & JP.

Honestly as annoying as a queue is, i'd rather have a queue than nobody in cyrodiil at all. It means that people are coming back! Once server stability increases, they can work on increasing population cap and adding new pvp content

You can group with your friends then queue for the other camps together. If you have more friends than can fit into a group, organize more than one group.

The other camps are usually pvdoor land full of people but no good epic fights. These Q's are still ongoing we shouldn't have to endure this, they need increase the population.
