Well, it was the time when I just hit 160cp and came hard on veteran dungeons. Just wanted to do all of them for no particuar reason since I don't really care about the gear and achievements.

So, my first time in Scalecaller Peak. We stuck at the very first boss. Two ogres. It was insane. First, we rushed like a couple of mind dead goblins and died, and died, and died. Then our tank made us listen for at least a minute before charging into battle. Cool guy he was. Actually, he was the first normal person who explained tactics and stuff to the group. I tried to do the same ever since.

Anyway, he explained what we had to do. So we tried... and couple of tries later we actually won! Then it was surprisingly easy. I mean, that alchemist and his plague - that boss gave me a lot of troubles even on normal many times after that, but not this time. And, you know, I really felt like we were a team at the end of the dungeon. It was good. Never felt this way ever again.

    ***

Also, another time. I don't really remember when it was, but it was hilarious. So, every time I did a dungeon, there always was a guy who knew what he was doing. You know the type. Huge CP, kills everything without your help. He kinda charged us with confidence, helped us do our job and win. I always looked at this guy, learned the stuff and thought myself as an apprentice of a sort. Never thought that one day it will change.

But suddenly, after reaching certain CP... I found myself to be this guy. I had the highest CP in the dungeon, I was kinda... dungeon master!.. And suddenly everyone looked at me. When I stopped, everybody stopped. When I rushed into battle, everyone did.

Responsibility was scary as past guar meal. But I hope I did at least a half decent job keeping people alive and showing them the basics. And it's definitely something to remember.

Yeah... Actually, I just realized, most of my great memories are tied to veteran dungeons. First completion, to be exact.

I guess... I did 'City of Ash II' on veteran before I did it on normal.
I vividly remember that slaughter with endless daedra just charging us wave after wave until we reached certain point when they stopped spawning endlessly. It was great. That was the first time I felt I'm Undaunted, I'm doing heroic stuff. When we slaughtered countless daedra, our blood mixing with lava, killing, dying and resurrecting. Every step we took, it was payed in blood. Our healer did the best job ever, and we just pushed them further and further until we smashed them completely.

And in the end, of course. Valkyn Skoria. Even reaching him felt like we were in actual Hell. But the fight... wow! We were Undaunted! And in the end we all felt exhausted, but happy. It was legendary.

P.S. I must say, I always did my dungeons only with randoms. What fate gives me, I get.

    - Sneaking into high level zones like Reaper's March as a level 15 to get a vampire bite from blood fiends.
    - Getting 10k gold to buy my horse.
    - Hitting vR1 and feeling powerful on lower level zones.
    - Doing the hard quests on cadwell silver and gold.
    - Beating that one hard boss from the fighters guild questline.
    - Beating veteran maelstrom arena for the first time.

Basically, when I started the game. I never felt the same way about anything after one tamriel. The only thing that had to be changed at that time was that all players can travel to all alliances. (Possibly veteran ranks too, but they would be fine if they were account wide after lvl50).

I remember a guild I'm a member of were going to do a birthday trial run, and since I don't do trials I wasn't planning on joining, but I ended up joining anyway. They said "bring your drink, and don't expect much". I didn't say much because I was shy, but I remember the atmosphere being very light-hearted, and one of the other guild members, had the most hearty laugh imaginable. I don't remember how I was feeling before that particular trial run, but the mood was definitely light during and after. I don't think they know how much I enjoyed that evening, since again, I'm shy and not good at trials to begin with, but I was having a blast

Another moment I think deserves a mention, is during the SlayDragonSaveCats event, my brother and I were in N. Elsweyr doing our duties for the felines, when we met another player who invited us into a very awesome guild, and I met some very cool people

Vet Frostvault and 3 of us were on comms. Random DPS with no mic had clearly never done that dungeon before.

At the boss with the Wizard/Ice Atro and the mechanic pops up where a bad red circle starts growing at your feet and all you have to do is not stack. Rando guy dodge rolls, sprints, and pixel-stacks on the healer from half way across the map. Healer on comms sees him coming and is like "get away from me... Wait, dude... GET AWAY FROM ME" *explodes*. Pause. "That guy just assassinated me!" And we all just started dying laughing.

We typed out some tips in chat and cleared the dungeon but we were laughing at that the entire rest of the way.

My flawless vMA run. Never felt so accomplished in a video game in the past decade than when I got that accomplishment. It was such a great feeling and I was so proud, haha.

Way before that one of my favorite memories was just randomly stumbling across some cool people and being invited to a guild. I never really joined one and actively chatted before so that was a fun thing to just break into. Listening to people who were so out of the ordinary from my usual life was entertaining and a sobering experience. (I'm talking about people who own farms and live in the country, lol definitely not what I'm used to). Made me realize games can bring many people together.

My last memory that I still remember distinctly was the first time I earned emp. Actually working for it, not just breezing through it during midyear in an added campaign. It was cool. I've gotten it quite a few times after that but the first time I earned it in a real campaign was pretty fun.

ESO has supplied many great memories for me and some very negative memories as well. But it's good to go back and think of the better times. :)

Way back in 2014, when zones were levelled in order of progression, accidently straying into Bangkorai from Stormhaven, so iirc I would've been less than lvl 20 and the zone was designed for 40+.....

I came across this strange looking "bud" so wandered over to investigate(I actually hadn't realised I'd changed zone), suddenly this "bud" exploded open, I ran, only to be dragged back and very quickly killed....

My first encounter with a Strangler! Those were the days!! 💕

Oh and this one deserves it's own post as it endures to this day!

The end of 2014 beginning of 2015 I met some wonderful people in below 50 PVP, which in turn led to me joining first one guild and soon after another.

I am still in both of those guilds and they are still going strong! The people I met are still there too and that is entirely due to the hard work and dedication of ONE person. I will not embarrass her but those that know me will also know her! 💕

Whenever I see "the game is dying" threads I just have to log-in to know that my little portion definitely isn't. I hope other people have had similar experiences because I have actually ended up with some wonderful real life friends which have provided me with a superb support group through whatever life has thrown at us all over the last 8 years. 💖

The one time I slowly 1v4 an entire team in a domination battleground by getting in and out of invisibility, heavy attacking to proc knight slayer and get magicka back and using cc to keep them from damaging me. They left or died one by one as I was very slowly killing them with dots and knight slayer. I stayed on the flag the whole game forcing them to engage more with the third team and making us win the game.

They tried to get the flag back once but when they saw me waiting there, they just turned around because they knew they would be wasting time.

During the Elsweyr event players thought and acted like dragon hunters. A dragon appears on the map, and dozens of strangers gathered at the nearest wayshrine and watched the skies.

As soon as we could predict where the beast would land a small army raced towards it. It felt truly epic.

I like to call it the "Arena Weekend"

September 3, 2016: me and 2 guildies had spent quite some time during the summer (late July, early August) progressing through vDSA. We didn't have a fixed 4th member so we usually recruited someone who was available to help us.

While progressing through the arena we learned a lot on how to optimize ourselves for PvE, what our roles required of us and how to work properly together to advance further and further. And on that day; we managed to beat it for the first time :) And I was rewarded with my first Master weapon, the dagger. Which wasn't useful to me cuz I was a MagBlade back then :D But I kept it as a keepsake :)

September 4, 2016: later on the 3rd, I decided to try out vMA again. I had attempted it before but couldn't get past stage 6 because the boss kept one shotting me. After beating vDSA, I felt a lot more confident so I gave it another go.

While it did go a lot smoother this time, it still took me like an hour to beat the stage 6 boss. Stages 7 & 8 were rather easy, though it did take me a few tries to figure out the mechanics with the stage 7 behemoth boss.

But the stage 9 boss was hard, and I struggled with him quite a bit. It was getting late too so I figured I'd try again tomorrow, even if I did have to redo the entirety of stage 9 again.

The next day, on the 4th, after several more tries I manage to finally bring him down and earn my first vMA completion :) Yay :) This time I was awarded with the vMA Mace, which I immediately merched :D

But that weekend was amazing and I like to think of it as the weekend I graduated from PvE school :p I improved a lot and made some great friends along the way. :) Can't get any better than that, right?

Getting invited to the Beta with my girlfriend at the time, and playing through Bleakrock Isle with her. I remember I played a Nord templar with a bald head and a magnificent mustache, and she played an argonian dragon knight. We meticulously did every quest we could find from bleakrock, and then also Khenarthi's, and Stros. Good times. We still play together to this day, married now, but we had just started dating back then so it was memorable.

I was a relatively young'n in the game, had joined a small social guild and we were going through (I think) Vet Vaults of Madness on my Khajiit MagPlar Healer. This was before the Racial reworks so Khajiit had absolutely no benefit for Magicka. We had gotten to the giant flaming Flesh Atronach Boss and the group nearly wiped right as the Boss has a sliver of health left. I panicked and instead of trying to rez the group I spammed Jesus Beam. Defeated the Boss and rode a high for the next five minutes about how I clutched the fight on my Healer.

The 19 Glorious hours in 2019 when I was Emp in the main PS campaign from early Friday morning until the wee hours of Saturday. Wiped both opposing factions countless times with the help of Masher and the rest of the OG Merciless Guild members. I'll never forget the sight of the ground floor of Chalman completely covered in dead baddies.
However it was the way I got it that was the most memorable part. The campaign had reset and I was playing solo the first few hours then with one friend for a little while later, always in the top 10 but not 1st on the board. Slowly and surely though I kept climbing towards that first spot..
Unbeknownst to me another guild had their guy in first and was pushing the circle for him when I overtook him. This other guild didn't even realize it had happened until there was only one keep left and right about that time I gave a shout out to Merciless that I was in first so they helped me flip it to crown me. There was no grand plan, just me playing my ass off and then getting really lucky with how things lined up.
The leader of the other guild lost him mind and was saying I boosted to pass his guy, wouldn't help defend and I'd be dethroned within an hour. But I held it all through the day and then the busiest night of the week and just laughed for 19 hours while he cried.
Plus my consolation prize when I was finally dethroned was a lifetime supply of bags.
