Heh...that's a tad long....and make no mistake, it didn't go away until I left PVP.

    This bug has been around for at least a year. The 49710 day bug can happen on every buff and debuff in the game til you switch zones. They do positively/negatively affect your character until you leave. The fact they haven't fixed it yet proves their apathy towards the Pvp community. I imagine they will only try to fix it once it leaks to overland and dungeons.

    It's an unsigned 64 bit integer stack overflow. It's pretty easy to see, but apparently not easy to fix.

    Yes, some perma-status effects and buffs/debuffs work for you and against you in Cyrodiil. People were collecting debuffs to activate the Sustained by Suffering CP passive (among others). ZOS recently fixed that.... but they didn't fix the perma-debuff itself.

    The bug is still there, but I do not get these infinite buffs as often as I used to. I guess they fixed some data type mismatches but not all of them.

    Indeed.....kept flashing at 0 on the screen......for like a LONG time and I was thinking "man I've been out of battle for a while now." Then I looked and laughed....a lot...that's like 2017 years...that's a LONG A** DEBUFF BABY!

    No, it’s only a UI bug. I have been afflicted with burning and poisoned status for 49k days countless times, and was not taking damage outside from those effects. Having that bugged defile status doesn’t reduce your healing or recovery.

    I don’t know if that is true or not. If you get the infinite buff that keeps you from sprinting (forget which one) that is definitely more than just a UI bug. It would be safe to assume that all buffs/debuffs work the same.

    And confirming this is NOT a UI bug. Just had Rune something...can't remember it now..on me. Couldn't do much...but a SINGLE light attack while running dropped my 25.9K stamina to 9K. At this point, PVP is unplayable.

    Yeah I had 3 effects on me last night permanently and they were real. Have to crash out then back in to get them to go away.
