I downloaded two games last week because of how the PC updates went.

As the announcement itself is locked I'd just like to thank @ZOS_GinaBruno for her announcement.
However, I would also question why such a bug fest is still going live tomorrow? Surely it would make more sense to fix these bugs before putting it live? No one will complain, we would rather have a game that works than the buggy nightmare about to be unleashed on us....
Please please pull the release and fix the bugs before you drop it on us.

BTW can you post the link to the announcement? I can't seem to find it.

it's under patch notes section.
If this was a bank pushing out an update to their online banking app (for instance) they wouldn't knowingly push out an update that locked people put of their accounts. They would pull it, solve the issue and then release the update.
Gaming manufacturers on the other hand have decided that players are happy with any release no matter how poor the quality is and therefore just shove out updates no matter how bad they are.
Over the last couple of years they have got away with it due to lack of choice. Now the pandemic is judged to be over and people are returning to normal lives gaming companies are going to find that product matters. New games have started coming out and ESO is hemorrhaging players, all the discords I'm in are quiet, officers and GM's of guilds are quiet, I've gone from a daily player to a casual player and am likely to play less and less unless Zos finally wake up and realise the product matters and up their game.
@ZOS_MattFiror @ZOS_RichLambert @ZOS_GinaBruno I know you won't respond to this thread but you will end up sending another grovelling apology when you realise just how bad this update is. Please wake up, please put product first, please start putting out updates worthy of being updates and stop with the artificially imposed deadlines. I'd rather have a delayed release than a poor release. I want my enjoyment of the game to increase again, not think is this it? Buggy update after buggy update that may get fixed six weeks later but inevitably won't.
You expect us the players to accept these poor releases - your in game metrics should be telling you that the turkeys have stopped voting for Christmas. Get the game sorted while you can, before Microsoft find someone to do the job for you.

All characters will get all achievement so order does not matter from that perspective. Achievements do indicate which character earned the achievement and when it was earned. If you want your main to listed as the earner for most of the achievements, then log in to your main first and then the others.
You may need to micro manage some achievement like true style master - which adds up the number of styles learned on each character. If you want your main listed as the earner for this achievement, you need to keep track of the counter and make sure you main learns the 50th motif so another character's name is not listed.

I thought you wanted to load into your main character last for all the combined “kill X monsters” achievements.

This. I put up with all manner of things since beta. By the time I saw the warning to console users about error 326 in update 33 for console players, it was too late. Main was locked on PC-NA. If I had known it was even a "extremely rare" bug even for another platform I would have stayed logged out for the entirety of the update until it was fixed, rather than risk having to open a ticket I have to wade through. I am extraordinarily averse to the idea of opening a ticket for account modification purposes after reading the horror story here on the forums of a guys whos 7 year account got completely wipe when he tried to get an achievement fixed. So now I am sat here with a ticket open for a character locking bug.
Beta player. 13k hours played. Probably just as many dollars into crown crates. Active subscription. Purchase every CE chapter. 0 disciplinary issues. Spend all my time going for trifectas and helping new players get established and find their bearings. Sitting here with my main locked due to a known bug, watching others get it resolved while my playtime ticks away for the second day with an event around the corner, feels like buying a business class ticket, being told they overbooked, and that another plane would be around "eventually"

Well you can't possibly expect them to stop the money train right? As long as the Crown Store and Crown Crates are unaffected then why not push broken crap to the live servers. Not like we're going to quit and take our money elsewhere.
