like has anyone else lost there freind's list like what the hell did you do zos

based on other reports, its not permanent, something related to the massive lag/loading issues people are having

issues ive seen people post about:

• being unable to login (infinite 1 sec queues)
• unable to login (timing out before character selection)
• unable to login (timing out after selecting a character)
• chat randomly having heavy delays (some send instantly, some delayed almost minutes)
• guilds randomly disappearing/appearing
• friend list randomly disappearing/appearing
• infinite load screens (sometimes going on for 10+ minutes)
• being unable to load into a house

however they did fix the dungeon queue lol

Yeah. [snip] It was a real issue but because I said my friends' list came back I think they thought I was trolling.

Some people have had success getting their guilds and friends list back by logging into other characters. Of course, you then run the risk of just simply being kicked from the game and unable to log back in for... well, who knows? whenever you fight the error codes and fake queues off long enough to get back in.

Another issue I noticed was an item I listed (chromium plating) doesn't exist in the guild store Listed Items. I listed two but only one was showing. It's not in my inventory either. Hope the game isn't eating expensive materials

I cannot log in at all today. And what else I hear is happening is terrifying. If the game launched in this condition, it'd be unacceptable.

All kinds of weirdness. Guilds are also going away and at one point all my champion points appeared to be unallocated although my 12 slotted ones still appeared slotted and as far as I could tell all were still affecting game play.

As you can see by my avatar, I don't spend much time at all on the forums but today has brought me here to extend some of my experiences that just pale to compare to anything I have seen in my 8 years of ESO gameplay.
To be in a continuous or endless wait in a transitional screen from something as simple as leaving my home or using a wayshrine for example is now unprecedented. This has been occurring through 2 maintenances over the last 2 days. I have had to quit the game on every occasion that I have tried to play due to the inability of the software failure to progress my gaming experience. This is what many of the folks I have spoken to are experiencing as well. On the very few occasions that it did work, it had taken an inordinate amount of time to achieve the transition, usually 4-8 minutes.
Maybe by sharing this and a ZoS moderator reading it and passing it on may help.
At any rate, I cannot play the game like this and am forced to sit things out until and if the gameplay is restored once more.
I wish you all well and hope that support gets to the bottom of these problems soon.

Need to add the issue of not being able to open Chrome, Opera, Steam and a number of other programs once you click play on the launcher screen, and also getting logged out of accounts associated with those programs. A lot of players going through this, posted in technical issues.

Yeah, the launcher should not be controlling our non-ESO programs. "Put in a ticket with customer service" doesn't fix whatever Update 33 modifications were done by ZOS to the launcher. Why not fix (or reverse) whatever changes you made that created the problem?

It's kind of fascinating to see the PC NA players experience the same kind if issues as the PC EU players experienced a few years ago. Usually our server is the most messed up one. Fingers crossed your issues will be solved faster and not as common as it was for us.

Probably because a majority of people playing likely don't even know how to do this, on top of the fact that the launcher has never done anything like this in the past. It exists to launch the game quickly and easily. The answer isn't to stop using it (at least not permanently), the answer is for ZOS to figure out what's causing it and fix it.

I'm sure it's purely cosmetic. Did you reboot your router? Try the troubleshooting steps for lag?

Because I play on Steam and don't have an ESO64.exe file. And it's a win7 issue. I don't have the problem on my win10 rig. And as Arunei said, it's not on us to figure out what ZOS broke. It's their responsibility to provide the same accessibility and non-interference with other programs that they did before the update.

I fixed my Queue issue just by going back to character select and logging the character in again. Logged in immediately. Has worked every time for me.

I am one of those having issues with programs and browsers since update 33. I only use the launcher on patch day. The rest of the time I open the game via the exe file. As soon as I log in , my browser is hosed until I reboot my machine or reinstall. It isn't the launcher causing the issues. Something the update added now hooks into many programs and browsers and will actually log you in and out of sites you have saved. Nice eh?

So... why is it only a few people seem to have this problem? I haven't lost anything nor had any problems with browsers, etc... on Windows 10. Someone said it was a Win7 issue... but again... few people seem to be complaining about it- so perhaps there is something in your system that is causing the problems. ZOS cannot test every single system combination, and just like addons, there could be a conflict on your end and not necessarily related to ZOS. Has your system or browser also had any updates lately? Not trying to be sour, just saying that it's possible it isn't ZOS' fault nor probably anything they can fix. I don't think ESO installs anything outside of the ZOS gaming folders, so not sure how it would be effecting your browser. I DO know that I have issues with Firefox a lot of the time... if I open it while running on my TV... when I switch back to PC monitor whenever I open Firefox it is minimized to a tiny size and will remain that way until the next Firefox update. Seems when Firefox updates, it updates based upon the screen size you have running at the time... so it will default to my 4K TV size... then next update, if it updates while I'm on my PC, it will install the update based on my PC screen size. Very irritating.
