Yep, I don't care for PvP either... so to get my event tickets I just do the following:

1) Go to Cyrodiil; choose a no-cp campaign that has few people
2) Pick up a scout castle/lumberyard/etc mission
3) Head to it and complete it (doesn't take much - 10 seconds)
4) Go find NPC or player to kill you and then respawn back to beginning shrine where you got your quest
5) Turn in (2 tickets done)

1) Queue for imperial city; choose a no-cp or something that has few people
2) Go up one of the ladders and take the PvE quest for that area (6 areas to choose)
3) Keep trying to complete each part of the quest; when you die, just respawn and then keep going until it says go back to base
4) Let NPC or player kill you and take respawn back to base
5) Turn in quest (1 ticket done)

I don't care how much I die, I just keep going... most of the time I can complete both to get 3 tickets within 30 minutes or less, sometimes as less as 10 min. I don't bother fighting back, I just let them kill me and keep moving along. If I have a lot of time on a particular day, I complete all 6 of the IC missions that day, turn one in, then the next day turn one in, etc.

Some players are nice and leave you be when doing the PvE missions, but most... not so much. Was nice today as I saw another person from a faction trying to kill a boss and almost died, so I jumped in and tanked it for them (at first they kept firing at me, but I just kept healing and tanking), then they went back to the mob and we killed it. Then we did a few more before his side had several others come over and run me over... at least it was fun for a while :)

Yeah, you have to deprogram yourself from thinking that dying is bad, its more about how you die and did you die for a good reason.

For Cyrodil I was doing what you were doing - Scouting missions. But it's actually not that quick, it's all RNG as sometimes you have to go to the complete other side of the map to do it. It's actually quicker to find a map where your side has access to and a teleport to Bruma/Vlastarus or Cropsford.

These quests are very quick to do, usually a LOT quicker than the scout missions and you get better rewards too. Leads for example.

Now for Imperial City. The best thing to do is to run 2 chars through the 6 Daily quests there BEFORE the event starts. That way you don't have to deal with the PvPers and it's real quick to just hand them in later DURING the event. This also gives you more time during the event to just farm the Imperial City Bosses for Leads or the new style pages, farm more Cyrodil City Dailies for more leads/rewards, or if you don't want to do ANY of that, that's fine, do what you normally do.

Oh and 1 last thing, you don't have to die in Cyrodil. If you do the city daily quests like I suggested you can just teleport right back to your base or even better if you did my second suggestion, you can simply teleport to Imperial City, cash in your daily quest for the event ticket and then go back to Cyrodil and you will start back in your base. Boom killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

Either way, just have fun while doing if possible and yes - even if you do die - you still gain more than you lose. :D

a little diddy comes to mind Don't worry. Be Happy.

Most guilds with at least half-decent leadership are running groups. Get into your guilds groups and have fun with them. For those that are of the type who do not want to join a guild or are in a not-so-active guild, get into a zone group. Strength in numbers.

Yeah my problem is my time zone tho.......even guilds don't help me a lot with that, ditto for the boss groups, they just seem dead for PS4 EU, no matter what time of day.

I have worked a crappy job for a crappy boss most of my life, if I am playing a video game, on my time, I want to be the hero. I consider any death to be a personal insult towards my playing and as such I avoid all one shot mechanics and PvP. Does that make me a chicken? Maybe. But the fact remains that I play a video game to relax and have fun and simply put dying is not fun. My main character has died a few times, sure, but every time he does I usually just quit for the night.

I also avoid all DLC dungeons and any bosses that have one shot mechanics. Again this may make me seem weak to many, but when you have spent your whole life working for bullies that call themselves your boss it gives me no pleasure to be tea bagged by a stranger.

Everyone's story is of course different, but try to understand that for many of us "deprogramming" is not something that would be easy, nor, in my case, even wanted.

The problem isn't dying. The problem is getting ganked while trying to turn in town quests, which tend to be easier and faster to finish than the Scouting quests. Those generally like to take you clear across the map into areas owned by an opposing faction.
    Character List [RP and PvE]:
Stands-Against-Death: Argonian Magplar Healer - Crafter
Krisiel: Redguard Stamsorc DPS - Literally crazy Werewolf, no like legit insane. She nuts
Kiju Veran: Khajiit Stamblade DPS - Ex-Fighters Guild Suthay who likes to punch things, nicknamed Tinykat
Niralae Elsinal: Altmer Stamsorc DPS - Young Altmer with way too much Magicka
Sarah Lacroix: Breton Magsorc DPS - Fledgling Vampire who drinks too much water
Slondor: Nord Tankblade - TESified verson of Slenderman
Marius Vastino: Imperial <insert role here> - Sarah's apathetic sire who likes to monologue
Delthor Rellenar: Dunmer Magknight DPS - Sarah's ex who's a certified psychopath
Lirawyn Calatare: Altmer Magplar Healer - Traveling performer and bard who's 101% vanilla bean
Gondryn Beldeau: Breton Tankplar - Sarah's Mages Guild mentor and certified badass old person
Gwendolyn Jenelle: Breton Magplar Healer - Friendly healer with a coffee addiction
Soliril Larethian- Altmer Magblade DPS - Blind alchemist who uses animals to see and brews plagues in his spare time
Tevril Rallenar: Dunmer Stamcro DPS - Delthor's "special" younger brother who raises small animals as friends
Celeroth Calatare: Bosmer <insert role here> - Shapeshifting Bosmer with enough sass to fill Valenwood

    PC - NA - EP - CP1000+

Yep, I don't mind the occasional death, but the gankers hanging out at quest locations are what kills it. They do this because they can and they think its funny to grief other players. I was fortunate that when it happened to me, I was able to get some skilled PvPers to come in and take care of them by letting people in zone chat know what was going on. So shout out in zone if there are gankers, if you have some decent PvP folks on who like being heroes, they might come and spank the griefers for you.

Agreed about the ganking. I don't mind the deaths. It doesn't insult me. Spawn-campers and quest gankers are what annoys me the most. PVP for the most part just encourages this type of bullying behaviour.

I generally just ignore this event, sure I'll miss out on tickets, but I work, and when I come home I don't like having my time wasted by some kid with anger issues.

    Tip for Quick Scouting Missions:

The Bounty Board always gives you resources that aren't owned by your alliance in your current campaign. On a competitive campaign, this can mean going deep into enemy territory.

However, it's cheesable to get a Scouting target in your own home keep territory.

If the queues will allow, queue up for a campaign where your alliance is getting their butts kicked. Like, you've lost your home keeps and their resources.

Pick up the Scouting Quest here. The Bounty Board should prioritize your home resources first, so you'll get something close by your home keeps.

Now, queue up for a campaign where your alliance is doing fine or even dominant. Now, you've still got that quest for a close resource AND you've got the transitus shrines to the nearest keep AND you're much less likely to encounter enemy players deep in your own home territory.

YMMV vary if it's worth trading a long ride for potentially waiting in two queues, but this is the method for getting a faster, easier Scouting target.

As a solo PvE'er, transmute gems are the draw to the Mayhem event. Double AP = more rewards of the worthy. The first rotw coffer you open each day is guaranteed to have a transmute crystal (4-25 gems) in it. Subsequent coffers you open that day only have a random chance of containing a transmute crystal. My tip then is that if you're trying to build up transmute gems, only open one rotw coffer a day. It'll take me weeks after the event is over to open them all the pay off is good.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

Absolutely! I generally keep about a weeks worth of extra RotW on me and open the rest. In my experience you will get a transmute geode about 1/7 after the first one of the day... YMMV
