Account wide achievements and Undaunted rep

So uh... when achievements are made account wide, what happens with Undaunted rep on new characters? Will all the rep be automatically be applied to them as soon as they join the undaunted (Please say yes) or will Undaunted rep just be harder and more frustrating to obtain from now on?

From what I can see, due to the changes Undaunted rep associated with achievements is to be removed. So it will be harder in that sense.

From what I've read here https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/596567/advanced-question-accoundwide-achivements-and-pvp-rank#latest we'll still be able to do corresponding achievements and receive points. But we won't be able to actually see what achievements we did on a particular character.
To be the Chosen One really sounds like lots of fun,
But in the end you'll just be someone's lunch

    Undaunted Progression Changes
As part of Account-Wide Achievements, we've rebalanced how the Undaunted skill line advances. You'll now obtain Undaunted reputation when completing the quests found in instanced dungeons, and increased the amount of reputation you gain for completing Undaunted dailies. We have also removed Undaunted guild progression from Undaunted achievements.

First time quests and dailies only. Gross.

Oof. Not the most ideal thing... doubling down on pledges when it kinda conflicts with the random daily. Ah well. Sad that the other non-completion achievements will be worthless now.

Make sure you voice your concern over this on the feedback thread for account-wide achievements on the PTS forum, they have confirmed that they are watching that one closely.

It's even worse than it sounds. I have alts that have done all of the dungeons on normal, but aren't getting the rep (because they did the dungeons before the patch) and can't get the rep by doing the dungeons now (b/c they've already done the quest), so they're stuck mid-lv5 without the other stuff until they grind pledges for several weeks.

    Unfortunate, and a poor decision.

They increased the amount of undaunted XP you get from dailies/weeklies by quite a bit to compensate. It's not as fast as before, but you can still grind it out fairly quickly.

There's a table sourcing all the options in the patch notes.

That doesn't really compensate for removing achievements, tying the points to quests that were already completed, and then not granting the points for those quests that were already completed (or resetting those quests so they could be completed again).

Yes, it can be ground out, but it's almost faster to level undaunted by creating a whole new character.

I actually think it's faster now if you're doing vet pledges, hm as much as possible.

No, not on the pts... now that it's live voice it on the current feedback thread in general forum: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/599867/ascending-tide-feedback-thread#latest

You can do those pledges once per day. If you're doing it across 50 characters and don't care that it takes several weeks because you're constantly progressing each character, sure.

If you do randoms...nope, those don't count. Guess that kills the random queue.
If you are doing a new character, quests catch you up nicely.
If you previously had the character forever, doesn't matter, you're at 10 anyhow.
If, however, you consolidated down to 6 characters (because armory system is great!), but some of them are newer alts that haven't done every achievement (they're alts), but have done every dungeon (skill points are important), you're SOL.

Current values are 100 for a vet HM, 50 for vet. Previously I would have to effectively have a tri on a new dungeon to that character to get 70 points (20 for the pledge and 10 each for vanquisher, conqueror, no death, speed, and hm).
That's 250 a day for both base game vet HM and the dlc on just regular vet. That shouldn't take weeks and weeks, should be less than one week.
Yes, it's much more limited to pledges now and it's probably not possible to get the full thing done in one day, and yes random that aren't the pledge won't do much.
