Now we have to give ZOS our phone number and other personal information they don't already have to use the chat function on ZOS twitch streams? Is this a new thing? I don't twitch much and I was not planning on watching this, but turned out I have the time.

✭It's a relatively new twitch feature designed to stop abusive behaviour. It's also trivially bypassable by someone who wants to be trouble so don't rely on it if you are a streamer. For bvious reasons I'm not going to explain how here.

This will likely be my last visit to twitch. I guess I'll stay for this stream since I'm already logged on, but I'm done with twitch now. People now days have lost all sense of privacy and just give it away for free now. If twitch and other online companies are going to sell my personal info I expect a portion of the profits. Oh good, a company that makes it's money buying/selling/trading customer profiles is demanding my private personal phone number to participate...
