Everyone who PvP's in cyro is getting booted fairly regularly. It's not as bad in PvE, but I crashed to desktop twice today while using wayshrines too.

The problem is most likely on your side. You can use WinMTR to diagnose connection.

That is the typical response that @ZOS gives us. That might explain if an individual disconnect but it does not explain when there are mass disconnect events in Cyrodiil whenever there are large groups of people around a keep or the hammer spawns.
Sometimes it might be due to individual connection but in PvP the server IS terrible.
It is a server-side connection issue at least in PvP.
We have known it for years. @ZOS just won't admit it.

It doesn't happen often outside of pvp, but I believe when the servers decide I'm sending too many inputs (key presses) it's kicking me to free up the memory. That's what it feels like anyway.

I'm in EU, playing on NA server. I never have any performance trouble of any sort. Once in a while, I get the 9 seconds waiting time upon quitting: that's the worst I see.

Even when my ping is great (40-60) in Cyrodiil I will still get ability lag and desync....that is not a "my side" issue.

Typically I have few issues. My ping is generally pretty good, between 60 and 100. It is rare it goes above 100 unless the servers are having some kind of problem. I live in Europe and play on the PC EU server.

Maybe play on the US server if you're in the US? You'll probably get a lower ping, and possibly a more stable connection. In previous games where I have had to connect to a US server from Europe, I have had issues with disconnecting.

Even if you don't wanna start over on the US server, trying it for a few hours to see if you still encounter the same issues might be useful. ZOS has an EU and US server for a reason, using the wrong one for your location isn't something they can control.

There is a problem in Cyrodiil at the moment, as soon as anyone gets seige out (except a Ram) everyone in the area disconnects. This is a game issue not a server issue.

It's also in part a player issue seemingly, given the reports that despite everyone knowing about the problem some are deliberately triggering the mass disconnections and laughing about it. Isn't it the same with ball groups in that everyone knows they cause performance issues yet they persist in running them?

Mostly smooth but have sometimes ubber lag spikes and most of all annoying unresponsiveness. And it only happens on ESO, and at the same time than other players when I group up so no, it's not jform my side.

Except it's not a user issue. It's the ZOS servers. This is very well established.

The disconnects are almost exclusively a ZOS server issue. This is very well established over years and years of dealing with the issue. Please just upgrade your servers.

Haven't seen this happen and ball groups don't cause any more lag than anyone else in groups.

Yeah they won't say anything about it....it would nice to see an acknowledgement of "yeah we didn't check to see how the last patch would affect Cyrodiil" OR "this is what's going on" but they're silent.....that's the worst part

If you’re trying to connect to a BethSoft server cluster to okay ESO, that’s your problem. This game runs on a zenimax cluster, so whatever is it isn’t wrong with Bethesda’s servers has no relevance.

Please you have often said you don't pvp.

That's why I said "seemingly" in relation to the siege issue because PvPers have complained that people are abusing it and laughing. Equally my comment about ball groups was posed as a question because I'm relying on what PvPers complain about which includes ball groups.

I don't comment on purely PvP threads (for which there is a separate forum of course), but this one wasn't launched as anything to do with PvP.

The issue in Cyrodiil is a server issue, don't really care if it's a BethSoft or Zenimax server issue and I don't think the regular player will care either....bottom line it's a problem....they've already admitted tht they identified the issue on Thursday but nothing since then. I love it when people constantly say check your connections...my connection is fine so there's nothing to check

I think this discussion is as ancient as ESO itself.

Maybe I can save us all a 10 pages back and forward.

I believe this is what tends to happen:
The PvP crowd says they got horrible performance
The overland questers and roleplayers say they got no problem
and the endgame PVE'ers says performance is bad sometimes.

I think that's a good wrap up but what I think overall the company should see is that if these issues persist it's going to relate to a loss of revenue and I think that's something they're extremelly invested in....listen to your consumers
