Dungeon-breaking Bug in Whitegoldtower & curated loot still not working

We just had a dungeon-breaking bug in Whitegoldtower, that locked us from further clearing the dungeon. Finally we had to disband the group.

On the next level after the Scroll-Triplet bosses, where usually three spawnwaves of portals and Adds appear, only two waves spawned for us. Thus missing the third wave we werent allowed to use the door to continue our dungeon. Can deliver video evidence if needed.

Also, while I encounter such bugs at my quest to complete my equipment-stickerbook, there is an other bug present. The bugfix to curate named itemdrops doesnt work as intended. It's true that you now get a regular setpiece in addition to named setitems, but those are still not curated. I got only one or two new items out of ~20 named itemdrops. All the other "curated" setpieces have already been collected by me. This bug is a problem in all dungeons, not only Whitegoldtower.

    Can you clarify what your expectations are with respect to named drops?

    Named drops are not curated. They were moved to become additional drops so that you would also get a curated generic piece with them. But those generic drops are still limited to the boss’s loot pool — bosses prior to the final one will not drop generic weapons, shields, or jewelry. If that’s all you’re missing, curation will not drop those for you off pre-final bosses.

    There was an error they introduced when they initially made named drops a bonus and added a generic drop with them. That was supposedly fixed on PC but is not in the most recent patch notes for consoles. Which platform are you on?

    “Fixed an issue where, if you received a uniquely named set item from a boss’s drop, it would negatively impact the curation of non-named set items from that same boss.”

    Nowhere does it say the named drops are curated. Only the generic drops are, and the named drops were unfortunately interfering with the curation of the generic pieces that dropped alongside them.

    I'm referring to the extra piece of equipment besides the named item. Those are not curated drops in my cases. The bosses I get those from do have many items I still need, but decides to "curate" me items I already own.

    Which items do you still need? Body pieces? Weapons? Jewelry?

    And which platform are you on? When they made named items a bonus drop, they introduced a bug where the generic drop that came with it was not properly curated. Consoles do not appear to have the fix for this known issue yet, but PC/Mac should.

    Only the final boss drops weapons and jewelry. Only that boss, no others. So curation is working as intended.

    Mini bosses will drop either a hand, waist, or feet set piece.
    Bosses will drop either a chest, shoulder, head or leg set piece.
    The final Boss of a dungeon will drop weapons or jewelry.

    Curation did not change bosses loot pool. Once you have collected all the pieces in the loot pool for a boss type, you will be back on regular RNG for those types of set pieces.

    The generic item that comes with named item was not curated until the December 5th patch on PC. If that fix has not made it to consoles yet, you are correct that the generic item that comes with a named item is completely random, not curated. So if you still need an item in The Adjudicator's loot table, but she drops her named "Harvest Dirk", the generic set piece that goes with it will be random, not curated.

    @Dagoth_Rac Yes, that's what I mean. It feels random and not curated. But since they talked about "curated" in their latest Patchnotes I suggested that it was fixed by them

    @jaws343 thanks, I am well aware of what setpieces drop from which specific bosses. If everything would work as intended, I would get 1 new weapon/jewellry per dungeon done (+ maybe extra loot from chests/random mob drop), but it doesnt if there are named items at the last boss involved

    As far as I’m aware, ZOS did not specify that the fix had made it into the console patch, so I would hesitate to assume that. They cannot work additional fixes in last minute for consoles without additional certification submissions (and potentially fees) to the respective platforms involved, so only the highest priority fixes are rushed for console releases.

    The patch note above was part of PC 7.2.6 and may have been ZOS' intention, but it did not work. It was superseded by a patch note in PC 7.2.7 from last week:
