The dlc never has crafting writ, only the chapter. So none in S.Elsweyr, Fargave, The Reach, etc

Minor DLC zones don't have crafting dailies. That's been a thing since... Murkmire? Or was it Clockwork City? I don't remember.

The crafting area is behind a loading screen. Yeah, that’s why it’s empty.

The whole area of Fargrave is split up and has too many loading screens even outside of buildings. No one is going to bother to go there when it’s easier to use the wayshrine and go somewhere else.

Leyawin's ok but Vivec City is still the best crafting/ banking hub in the game.

If you don't like crowds try Stormhold in Shadowfen, it's good too.

Leyawin suits me fine as I don't run an army of crafting alts or anything and I like the Blackwood zone. I just didn't realise we only get new crafting areas with writs at the start of a new chapter.

I like Leyawin and Summerset for crafting. Why do people love Vivec City so? Its a zoo and everything is spread out.

Fargrave is an odd sort of place but I haven't had too much time in there yet because of the Event.

No loading before bank, spread out not much more than Summerset tbf. Non issue if just need a summonable bank anyway, only if depositing stuff for trade also.

Nah the best place to do writs is Western Skyrim. Everything is close by and you don't have to run around. Ever since the Western Skyrim release, i haven't looked at any other place for doing writs.

Ummm that's one of the worst. 4 load screens just to use the crafting tables.

I use a mobile banker, which makes the main advantage of Vivec CIty a moot point for my alts, the design in Leyawiin is also more to my liking than VC.

Also, Alinor an Rawl'ka are also both nice when it comes to writs. Again, assuming you have the mobile banker.

It's great if you like loading screens and want an inefficient city to complete the writs in. I like that city for it's looks, but it's horrible for daily writs.

What about having an banker? Yes I get it if you don't have ESO+, then Rawl is much weaker than Vivec especially the enchanting one who you pick up up close to the enchanting station.
Vivec is nice here as the bank is in the center and the quest board is close.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Even when I am in Fargrave, I dont use the Fargrave crafting area. Too much of a pain to get to and use. I port somewhere else.

I like to vary where my characters do the daily writs. My dunmer are in Vivec but I have my Imperial in Leyawiin and my Nord is in Eastmarch for flavor even if it takes me like 40 more seconds to do that one. Also my Altmer is in Alinor and I have an Imperial in Northern Elsweyr as well.

    Makes the rotation less repetitive.

Vivec is king if you still need mount training. Most of my toons are in Vivec or Summerset. I have a couple in Leyawiin for color.

I don't generally need to mount train or tend to sell my gold mats, so for me Leyawiin and Summerset are the best. When I do have stuff to sell though, I hit Vivec or Mournhold (depending on if I also need to do a Master Writ).

I disagree that Western Skyrim is the worst place to do daily crafting writs. I don't think it's the best place, but it certainly isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. The loading screens generally lasted a second or less for me back when I was doing writs there, and having the Jewelry, Woodworking, and Blacksmithing stations so close together helps counterbalance those few extra seconds.

I think Vivec City is currently still the best location for doing writs on multiple characters as rapidly as possible, but any of the possible crafting hubs can be sufficiently adequate if you aren't worried about shaving off as many extra seconds as possible, especially if you're doing each character's writs as part of their normal gameplay in whatever zone they happen to be questing in, as opposed to cycling through all of your characters one after the other just to do their writs. I do prefer the cycling method myself, including for my twice-daily mail checks for crafting assistants' mails, but I frequently do writs as part of other daily activities on my two mains, then cycle through my alts later in the day in a separate play session.

Anyway, doing writs in a variety of cities can be more interesting than always doing them in the same place, and as with most things in the game it's largely a matter of how familiar you become with a particular location or activity so you can work out the easiest or fastest route to take or method to use.

Load times depend on what system you're using I guess. On ps4 I'd say those load screens are 5 seconds each.

I have 6 toons that do writs in 6 different cities. Objectively I'd say Stormhold is the best because there are 3 Torchbugs and 2 Heavy sacks between the boards and drop off.

I basically have to use Vivec City as my hub for my main. 90% of what I sell is crafted stuff and the stations are all within 10 yards of the banker.

I agree if you're just doing writs there are other towns that are just as good. Leyawin, Alinor, Mournhold, Stormhold, Vivec City, Riften, Vukhel Guard and Rawlkha are all fine.

Vukhel Guard is an interesting one since it starts hostile and you have to do a quest to make it safe.

I don't think Vulkhel Guard starts out hostile; I think it only becomes hostile once you begin the zone's questline. If you don't begin the questline, you're free to come and go anywhere in Vulkhel Guard without being denied passage by the guards.

On the other hand, Velyn Harbor starts out hostile and must be freed before you can use it as a daily crafting hub.

You're right I meant Velyn Harbor. Vulkhel Guard is just hostile in one area for the duration of one quest.

I used to do my writs in Solitude but the doors (especially for clothing station) got to me.

I've since moved to Rimmen and even with the turn-in spot on the other side of the city, I complete writs in 1 min less time. On 18 toons, that's significant.

Foolishly, I've never thought to use the mobile banker at the end. I think that will cut some more time now so thanks for that tip!

    Leyawiin for me.

I used to do them in Alinor until for some masochistic 'completionist' reason I did 'Lost at Sea' with all my characters in both my accounts.

Try listening to 'The Star-Eyed Bride of Alinor' 26 times every single morning...

After that, with my last shred of sanity, I moved operations to Vivec City which is mighty convenient, but it would seem that Vek is too concerned with his mighty spear to get the city finished so when Leyawiin opened for business I gladly moved operations there.

There is a lot of shin punishment on that abandoned cart between the blacksmithing and woodworking stations but otherwise nice and convenient, with 100% less singing and 100% more city completion \o/

One in and one out. Perhaps 2 entrances but 4 loading screens

I second Rimmen as a great hub - the wayshrine is centralized, or you can port for free to the outside of the Sugar Bowl Suite inn room... writ boards and all crafting stations are close together just a few seconds away, then about 25-30 seconds to run back to the writ turn-in... even the stable is close by for riding training. And no load screens at all once you're in Rimmen unless you need to hit the bank or Outlaws Refuge.

Since DLCs. Wrothgar has them. Hew's Bane has writ boards but no turn-ins. Gold Coast has neither.
