The two NPCs are gone! Did they get eaten?

    Yes :)

The dragons got sick of them talking.

You probably did the quest. They still talk to some of my characters that haven't been to their homeland to see if their loved ones are safe

A more serious answer: They did decrease the frequency which this conversation happens. So you can still sometimes see them if you're on a character who hasn't done Northern Elsweyr, but it's not nearly as often as it used to be. And for me, who has a lot of alts, I am very VERY grateful for this. <3

And also, those two were quite tasty. Not that I would know, of course, that's just what the dragons told me. :)

For the longest time, I kept hearing the same lines over and over in every city. Then I started completing all the zone quests and side quests and the conversations changed. New folks popped up in towns and other places with a lot of different things to say, so I wasn't hearing the same tired lines over and over... it was awesome to say the least! If they also reduced that spam, even better, because it is very annoying to be constantly inundated with Do you know how long..., Comrade, the guild needs you..., I can't wait to see what team we will be on this time, You saved Alexander Cornell (whoever he is)... etc, etc, etc...

Yes-- but then you start getting innundated with different conversations that reference the outcomes of your questing. :)
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I've done every zone in the game, except for wrothgar, because I know *exactly* how long she's been looking for me. For. Ever.

The quest has sat in my quest log since I started because it drives me insane

But you only have to accept her quest, then run over to Wrothgar and turn it in.

You don't even have to continue to the next step. Just turn in the initial quest and you NEVER hear her again.

(On that toon at least  ).

True, but hearing 1 of 100 different conversations around me, is so much better than the same 4 over, and over, and over....
