People are bound to make mistakes when reallocating thousands of points manually, and it was initially your bug that caused everyone to have to reallocate.

just save your current NO CP build in your Armory and use it to vary the CP allocation for free as many times as you wish.

I had a build saved on one character but equipping the build didn't reslot the CP...

Yes! And I’d saved a CP and skill morph respec in my armoury so I have to pay again for those. Definitely should be a free change week.
I do not want to waste a slot in my armoury with no CP because I have dps and healer load outs to save and they cost 1500 crowns per character per slot

I see this as a non-issue, if you leave one Armory slot as a blank slate its basically a free cost full respec of champion points, skill points, and stat points you never have to pay gold to a shrine ever again. At the very least you could fill in all your crafting, passives, skills, and CP you think would be essential to every build then save that as a bare minimum and fill out the rest yourself.

I only had 8 characters to respec for the CP catastrophe, that and my writs, burned me out today, perhaps there was other stuff to do, I know not what....

Sadly one of my characters was completely bugged and lost her worn gear, her vampirism and skill points as well as her CP.

I agree they should have offered us at least 3 days of free CP changes to get the CP allocation sorted out, I have 26 characters, and considering it was due to their bug the CP had to be wiped I am not too happy about such short notice. I think I will just not bother much this time, then I will not get so pissed off next time they reset the CP. Most of my lot only do writs and pick up hirelings, they do not need CP points for that.

Agree, now I found that if you have plenty of CP as in >1500 and is on PC
    https://esoui.com/downloads/info2901-CarosSkillandChampionPointSaverCP2.0.html
I used this to make templates with all the crafting CP and all the none slottable CP as this is fixed, then fill out the slotted ones for all making this 10 times faster.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

What i understand from talking with ESO Twitch streamers and reading the Forums is that:
if you try to apply build saved before CP reset, the CP will be cleared (as Zeni suspects saved builds could have excessive CP),
so they (streamers) recommended to load the old build, allocate CP anew, and re-save it, then it starts working fine.

How is this a big deal? cp changes cost like 25k gold if you have the majority of skillpoints used.

I tried to use the Armor today and it states if I continue it will cure my vamp and my WW. Why??? So it is useless for two of my characters. :/

Er, CP redistribution is only 3,000 gold no matter what.

But it's still an inconvenience to have to reset them on all characters, and many people will have tried refining items or deconstructing things before they realize their CP wasn't put in the boosting perks and so lose out on potential materials.

Save a slot first with your curse, and it should be retained in the specific armory slot.

If you try to load an empty armory slot, or a slot saved when you didn't have the curse active, it wipes the character clean of evil infections.

The slot you are loading doesn't have either of those traits. Save your build with that trait, then it will load with that trait again

It's still money you shouldn't be needing to spend when it's their mistake that ultimately caused it.

that's like saying you shouldn't be mad that someone keyed your car because touch up paint is pretty cheap.
