    My first impression is the exact opposite.

    the first dialogue line I can and have to choose just reminds me that the game wants me to feel dumb by forcing me to ask the obvious and already known.

    Also why the tube path from the portal to the city? You can jump on the rocks on the side of the path but then run into an invisible wall. Either make no such path at all or block the sides properly to make sure players do not run into the invisible wall.

    Guess I know now why ZEN gave the DLCs away for free.

    I already left the deadlands again. Maybe one day I will return.

    I will play through it just as I always do but first impression is "underwhelming" just as blackwood was.

    All the dlcs these days seem rushed and copy pasted, story and dialogue just made me want to click next,next,next.

    It's a poor game design decision that is usually frowned upon amongst the industry; to make invisible walls restrict access to the player.

    Good game design uses techniques like actual objects that fit the context of the level which makes it feel deliberate instead of restrictive. Thats why a ton of the zones have mountains, gates, castle walls and water that you die from if you swim to far to avoid the invisible wall problem.

    Telling people to ignore it invalidates their constuctive criticism that could be used to make better content in the future.

    World design is outstanding. Wish Nirn had a sky as beautiful as the Deadlands, and Fargrave would have made the better chapter imo.

    Not really engaged by the story so far, but I've only done the first quest. We'll see.

    I am an explorer, If I see a place I could go, then I try to go there. The worst thing that can happen to me is moonwalking against an invisible wall where it does not make sense at all.

    Why not adding higher obstacles noone can jump on them? or a high fence? Thats something I could live with.

    What I found comical though when I was riding through deadlands was a remark from bastian "The divines where in a good mood when they created this place"

    I think he thought he was in Artaeum😁

    It's conceptually similar to Redguard architecture, but the shapes are clearly different. It's more like Leyawiin vs. Breton assets.

    I am pretty impressed with Fargrave myself. I just ran around a bit this afternoon after finishing my last witches stuff; looked at Ossa Ascentium (LOVE it....) picked up the Fargrave and Shambles Wayshrines and a couple in the Deadlands. I'm not much on the fire and lava of Deadlands, but Fargrave is really very cool, very well done!

    It'll be interesting to complete the quest line there.

    I find Fargrave annoying to navigate but I do appreciate that it doesn't look like just any other city.

    I agree that Fargrave and its people could have made a much more interesting chapter. My characters are really tired of cults and saving the world. They could do with some more interpersonal, economic and political intrigue.

    I love both the new zones. The Deadlands looks amazing! Especially with everything that is going on!
    You see Titans and Watchers flying around, some Titans sitting on cliffs watching the landscape. Iron Atronachs on cliffs shooting fireballs at you if you get to close. Lightning striking these small towers near the roads.

    The teams that made zones, great job! 10/10 no doubt!

    The zones feel so alive, so Daedric. :)

    Enjoying Fargrave especially with the hustle and bustle of the city. Bastian got a bit upset with all the looting but how else is this one supposed to get purple companion gears to keep certain Imperial alive?!

    On another topic, is Madame Whim just Nord in purple skin and dark eyeliner???

    My impression of Bastian is that, if he was a tool in the shed, he'd be a wooden spoon....

    Also really love the Fargrave town, and the house there. Get Planescape: Torment vibes from it for some reason, which might be a reason for it. Quests I haven't done yet.

    I love Fargrave - beautiful, unique design and so many little details. It have really magical vibe and it's something new after Greymoor, Reach and Blackwood nostalgia milking. ZOS artists make a really good job with creating this.

    I have been only in Fargrave yet but I hate the city,the seperate districts and I didnt find the npcs I was looking for.
    Worst City in the game in my opinion.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours

    Fargrave looks nice, it is different to all other towns. The only thing that bugs me are the doors between districts, the fade out when opening them breaks the immersion of one big city.

    I can imagine that's because of the limit older consoles got hardware wise.

    Since we don't share cross server anyway I sometimes wish PC would have their own update with fewer restrictions on things like loading screens. Open up areas a bit. Would be nice.

    Not sure why - but something about Fargrave remind me of Mass Effect 3s city Omega.
    They're totally different layouts but the idea of it.. I dunno. Kinda cool.

    I just love it and have been astonished by the vivid and liveley north - I'd love to have a home there. The Deadlands have the final charme of the Danish Skagerrak eddy that suicidals pilgrim to each year.

    The city layout is quite nice.
    I prefer being in cities with tall buildings, because I feel there is a lack of perspective in ESO.
    The animated sky is quite nice.
    The overland has been tweaked with interesting MOBS and environmental damage animations.

    It's getting better, but it's only a surface scratch
