Shrouded Daggers not bouncing on kill

The Shrouded Daggers morph of the DW skill Hidden Blade seems to not be bouncing to nearby enemies when the first strike kills. This has apparently happened before and was supposedly fixed some five years ago patch 2.6.4. I have tested it on multiple groups of 13k health enemies and can confirm is has started happening again.
