Black Market Mogul, and how players get treated

So yes, this thread will have a negative vibe to it.. That being said, lets get to it.. There is an achievement called Black Market Mogul which requires you to sell 1 mil worth of stolen goods.. For that you get a color, and you are allowed to buy a furniture item from the thief merchant.. Now I was really excited for this achievement, and it took me quite some time to get.. But when I saw the reward, I felt very very let down.. I think ZOS really need to do something here.. I'll post a link to a picture, since I can't seem to figure out how to paste it here, and then you can see for yourself

The piles from left to right is:

1 - Multiple small coin piles, about 30 or so, bought from the thief merchant
2 - The "reward" for selling 1 mil gold
3 - A gold pile from the Baandari Crown Crates

Now i'm not saying that we should get the event treasure trove (https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/dragons-treasure-trove/), but come on.. What we've got looks like something Madam Trasheap from the Fraggles would live in

Even better, slight name changes on same items and sell it to you for crowns instead it's awesome all ways round xD

Meh had fun doing it and only did it for the dye as dyes are my carrot of choice.

You get an awesome for the Fraggle reference though >^^<

Tbh, many old item/skin like this should be improved time to time.

There are many things that could use an update for sure, but this one is the worst I've seen..

I always forget that this thing exists. For me it was always about the dye. Yeah, that pile didn't age well. (Black Market Mogul should have been a title...)

The right pile is not from the luxury furnisher, it's from the Baandari Pedlar Crates.

And yes, the achievment furniture got awful textures, this is not something new. Even for being in the category of one the early groups of furniture we got it looks bad.

I want Black Market Mogul as a title also. It took me almost as long as it took me to get master angler, so why no title?

I was seriously pissed when that crown crate version came out and made the pile I spent months grinding my butt off for look like a pile of trash.

It's not too late to fix this ZOS. Just retexture the achievement one so it doesn't look like some blurry pile of fail from a mid 90s game.

My feelings exactly.. And yes, it can't take long to make that gole pile look better.. It takes a lot of grinding to get it, so at least make it worthwhile

This game is full of unsatisfying grind rewards. Cadwell's Silver and Gold are some of them They really should re-evaluate some of their old rewards and revamp them to be more attractive.

Looking at that image I was horrified. The first two piles look nothing like piles of gold coins. What they do look like is rubbish to say the least.

The soulshriven motif, and the helmet, is pure art compared to this mess honestly.. both are made with hugely improved looks compared to the gold pile

The only thing I use from those "rewards" is the Soul Shriven greatsword. It's darn good - graceful and actually beautiful.

This is how I feel too. Many achievement furnishings are this way. I wish a lot of them had more rewards, but the ones we do have just LOOKED better, and this one is the number ONE worst of the lot for the amount of sheer effort it takes.

Just had a look and yeah some of these base game achievement rewards could really use a higher texture quality.

There are lots of achievements in game that does not give a visible appropriate reward. For me Black Market Mogul was just an accomplishment and that was enough for me. I mean i was not expecting anything further from completing it and getting fifty points. But maybe it should reward a title in addition to the achievement furnishing.

The furniture looks bad but the dye you get is quite nice.

That beeing said - many older furnishings/motifs could use a rework for sure, they feel like they are copied from TES IV or something.

Yes the reward for the Black Market Mogul achievement is bad. But is it a s bad as the finale reward for the Thieves Guild DLC story line?

For those that do not know, the reward is: Pirharri the Smuggler a Khajiit fence and assistant. Unlike other fences, she charges a Smuggler's Fee of 35% for availing of her services.

I doubt we'll ever get a re-texture of old furniture items. I mean look at all of the ancestral styles. They are literally just reworks of old styles. So rather then fixing old styles, they just dumped new ones in. Very doubtful that they'd do anything different with furniture.
