Smart loot plus an armory that can even swap my skill morphs?!?!?

Home freaking run, ZOS! I don’t know what else to say.

There are only 2 build slots, so you can't even do all roles on one character if you want that, but you can throw money at ZOS for more.
Also the slots are per character, so if you buy a 3rd one only one character will have that (or so I've heard, have to rewatch to confirm, but if true that would be a very big let down).

I thought they said you can't build swap in a Vet Trial so stuff like Dressing Room is still far better and Console players are left out.

Its handy if you want to just swap gear to tank generic stuff though.

You can build swap in a vet trial if you buy the assistant for 5000 crowns

It’s perfect for my uses. And if it’s a cash grab then they’ve succeeded. I’ll buy the armory assistant and a couple more build slots within five minutes of them hitting the crown store. 🤷‍♂️

I think it's because you have to go back to your house to do so, so I think a lot of PC players will remain with the add-on, as having to quit whatever you are doing isn't really ideal for anyone.
Especially if you need to swap gear quickly, to do something faster, you're not going to go through 2 loading screens when you are trying to speed up the activity you want to complete.

Or if you are in Cyro, having to go through 3 loading screens then. I mean it's a cool feature, but I don't see myself using it.

Edit: I missed the assistant for 5000 crowns, apparently. lmao I don't even know what to say.

No, they said you cant summon the assistant on any leaderboard/timed runs. So no build swap assistant during veteran trials or arenas.

I would hazard a guess that the Mundus stone is not included since players have previously found ways to exploit Mundus. They probably do not want to risk having to deal with that again.

I am definitely keeping gear/skill swap addons, as I absolutely hate changing gear/skills vanilla way. I swap gear/skills way too often and having binds for that is just too good.

However, what this thing will be good for is free full respecs. I am over 2000CP and still lacking slottables to fully commit to two specs (Like PvE/PvP or Heal/DD), now my healer will be not just "good enough dd" , but true dd. And my tank will be basically completely different character for PvP.

TBS does not save your Mundus. The first time the exploit involved some manner to remove the set and retain the Mundus. I do not know what was behind the second time the double Mundus exploit appeared but it is very obvious in PvE when a DPS or healer is exploited by looking at their max health.

[snip] I’ll probably just have a pvp and pve spec for CP/morphs/attributes and use dressing room for gear swaps since there are times where you have to change your gear mid trial or dungeon.

I actually can't imagine needing much more than 2 builds for each of my characters, let alone 10, but whatever.

From what I could see, it looks like you can use builds to switch between cursed/not cursed, and presumably types of curses, so you could go back and forth from vampire to werewolf to neither.

And since the CP slots are also saved, you can use builds to switch between different setups of active CP perks.

I did not watch the stream(nighttime), but the armory system sounds awesome! If it works like I think it does, this would finally allow me to run 18 tanks + 18 DPS.

Hopefully ZOS will post more detailed info about the U32 changes in text format.

It's so easy to go grab another Mundas though, is it that big of a deal? Most guild halls have them, and if they don't, they're literally all over the zones...it just seems like a minor, minor, minor inconvenience.

For the toons I use, I generally have four: group, solo, stealth, and speed; after seeing this I will probably add PvP to that list instead of having dedicated PvP toons

It's a much needed feature especially to players who want to main a support character but cannot do much of the solo content because of the low dps. With the armory zos essentially solved the problem of character slots too. Players ask for more, zos doesn't want to strain their servers. The build slots will probably work like outfit slots.

As much as I appreciate the new addition to the game. Why can't we just get your own version of dressing room as on pc ? you guys were able to add timers to console so It can be done. This Armory aside From it being something that will mostlikely have to be (( purchased )) Unlike dressing room for pc which just gets downloaded for free isn't even going to be usable in end game trials it seems where it counts for heavy comp adjustments for pushing scores Dressing rooms functionality allows for you to be able to switch things on the fly but this we are getting does not sound like what I'm sure players atleast in the endgame console community were hoping for or had in mind. Again .Much appreciate and we will see the end result but for consoles sake lets hope they're listening and get this right.

It just seems poorly implemented [snip]. For PC there is zero chance of me using it as the likes of Wizard's Wardrobe is massively superior. I can use 5 gear swaps for a single trial and they provide 2, by default.

This is like action duration reminder all over again. Take a great idea, then not really get it and implement is poorly as a default feature.

Oh, and, "Lets mess around with dps again without fully understanding the ramifications of such changes". I love changing my build, then changing it again a couple of weeks later when they realise it is a mistake and nerf their previous changes.

This has limitations. But it will still be of use to PC.

You can swap CP, not just nodes but allocations.

    You can swap attributes.

You can swap skill points and even MORPHS.

You can change your curse status in a moment.

And you can do all this with NO COST.

(The no mundus stone is rediculous and they need to whatever they need to do to put that in there. Mundus stones are important parts of builds.)

But that’s why even PC players WILL use this. For me and the rest of console players? It is massive!!!!

As for all the accusations that this is a cash grab…I think it’s silly. They worked on this over a year. I wonder how many man-hours went into it? Of course they want to make money off it. They aren’t running a charity.

I want ZOS to know that if they bust their arse and bring something so great to the game then they are getting a payday. I want them to know that because that reward will be why they keep doing it. And that reward will come not only because we will spend money, but that kind of hustle is why ESO will be the best MMO and draw more players.

Are people really saying such things? That console players are being victimized and they can't think for themselves? That's horrible.

I do think some PC players avoid add-ons and at least from that perspective can have similar opinions to console as to how much value base game updates have wrt replacing add-on functionality.

Like the positivity in the opening thread. :)

From what I can tell, the Armory functionality equally benefits all players and only replaces add-ons if you use them in a most basic way. But that's ok. Can't wait to make alternate DPS specs for my tanks! :)
