I was using it as a back exit, but now I don't even get a prompt at the door...

It could be due to U31’s Interaction Priority Changes but, if there are no other objects nearby, I’d struggle to see what was getting priority over the door. I expect there will be many reports of not being able to interact with things correctly in the coming days.

I wonder if the inability to fish in Wrothgar is also related...

I regularily have trouble intracting with anything but followers (companion or any clingy quest npcs) but that started before the new patch & hotfix. Followers seem to steal interaction across room. That also includes quest items which should be used on certain locations. Instead to just pressing the key, I have to waste time to wiggle position and find the right pixel to not target a follower to use the quest thingamajig to smurf to next quest stage.

Just to note: This issue still persists, there appears to be no way to re-access the abbey. With or without a companion. No prompt to hit a key to open it or not. How do I get back in, there is a book I need there for my eidetic memory!

The problem seems to persist. I was just running through the Abbey and wanted to use the door to get out, but there is no prompt to open it. I sent my companion away, but this did not change anything.

I think it's always been locked after the quest.

No. I'd been there several times afterwards and each time I could access the Adytum.

Tried again today and it's locked.

I was able to get back inside to get the lore book by actualy jumping up the cliff outside of the public dungeon to reach the exit door to the abbey. It was actualy a lot easier than I thought it would be to climb up where you would normally jump down after completing the quest line. If unsure where this spot is, run the quest on a different toon to see where you have to climb back up.

No - I used to go back through there all the time after farming for inscribed shards.

Perhaps ZOS never intended for players to be able to go back there again after the quest and as a result patched this? Since it's a relatively small thing, they might not have even mentioned it in the patch notes.

I can't climb up. I'm assuming the broken stairs are the correct spot, or nearby? Can you or somebody post a video of actually succeeding in getting back up there? Is it possible to make a demonstration video of it actually being successfully done, from sea level to back door?
