Hi all - I have been gone for about a year now and when I left there were horrible problems in Cyrodil and PVP in general. Have these issues been resolved?

Thanks!

Hmm simple answer has to be no. :(

Although I rarely get hit really badly by it, tbh though I don't spend hour upon hour in Cyrodiil either. :D
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

    Short answer: no.
Long answer: no, they probably will never be resolved. My solution is not playing in prime time. Which I find not amusing since the faction populations are very poorly balanced.

No, if anything it's gotten a bit worse... and a little better. It really depends on the time of day, who's online, and who you're fighting.

Many promises, so far no noticeable improvements on the user side.
ZOS claims to have a clear idea on what needs to be done now, but hasn't gone into any detail about that yet - which sounds a lot like trying to save face.
The most promising upcoming developments are the server hardware upgrade and the change to cold storage, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that actually fixing anything.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

It's worse now than ever... Every patch it just gets worse and worse. [snip]

Best advice, play Non-cp if on PC. CP is literally unplayable at any reasonably populated time (even if not pop locked). Ravenwatch is where it's at. I play regularly. Was better earlier this year. Lag is definitely making a comeback there, but it's mostly during 3 way big keep battles and/or if there is a zerg ball running around spamming ults.

At least with the upcoming content releases it looks like they are making quite a few zerg killer sets. We can only hope they'll be effective. Otherwise Team Green will continue to just roll red as they please, whenever they please. This also has something to do with tons of guilds moving over to AD though last few campaigns. Playing as EP right now is pretty damn miserable.

They said the server replacement is for end of life issues only and they don’t expect to see any performance improvement from it. Best case, they are downplaying expectations so if we do see an increase it will be underpromising and overdelivering. But I wouldn’t hope for anything out of it if the devs themselves aren’t.

Lag is just as bad and with the changes to limit group size the map has become much less dynamic. Sometimes you'll go well over an hour in prime time with no keeps actually changing hands.
And the population balance problem is absolutely out of hand as PvP becomes less and less popular. Of the last 6 Grey Host campaigns on the PS NA server only 1 stayed competitive past the first week. Every other campaign has seen a couple of the larger multi-factional PvP guilds choose the campaign winner by deciding which side to play for. Which ever side that is winds up with an insurmountable 10K lead before the second week of the campaign is over. And they aren't content to just win, they grief the whole map nearly 24/7 so the fights are lame 10v1's every time.

No, still laggy. I went to Gray Host Cyrodiil for 15 minutes before I couldn't tolerate it any longer.

    Nope.

You'll lag fighting solely NPCs with no player character within render distance. It's that bad. During MyM there was even delays on sprinting which felt awful. Trying to cast any skill was torture.

On PS5 that versions got a noticable improvement for me, i almost never have skills not firing or any bad lag

No, lag has been the same the last 2 years at least. Sometimes it feels like it gets better than goes right back. And as someone pointed out there are entirely new bugs.

And unfortunately none of those sets will be able to be used in Ravenwatch next patch.

I can assure you that playing as anything other than AD is miserable right now in Ravenwatch. Although EP has it particularly bad.

I was gone for 2 years and it's worse now than it's ever been. How long has it been since zos promised to focus on performance? What a joke.
