Current State of Overlaod Heavy Attack

Who does use overlaod heavy attack today outside of role playing as darth sidious? Seriously what applications or senarios require or validate the use of overlaod heavy attacks?

It used to be a big thing when it was buffed by off balance in PvP, but now it has been excluded , and many sets that were working with overlaod now no longer do like stom master. It even had its damage and radius reduced by 25% and 4×6 down from 4×6. Let us not forget the abolishment of 3rd bar years ago. Now what?

Who still uses overlaod heavy attack and how it is being used?

I used it yesterday in Cyro.
Enemy was almost down and he used the S&B ulti.
With only projectile skills and because I had overload active I tried streak + overload heavy and it worked

Beside that, I didn't use it in the last 2 years I guess

Sometimes I forget to turn Overload off in PvP when I'm trying to restore mana. I'll heavy attack and blast lightning everywhere except it does very little damage. The enemy laughs and It's embarrassing.

Crystal weapon + Deadlands and high weapon damage (I run around 8k) will basically one shot a lot of players. I used it for a while, but I grew to not really like overload. It'd sometimes get stuck and wouldn't attack at all even if I had ultimate, and it's really sensitive when you try to switch it off. I'm used to mashing keys in lag so I just keep turning it off and back on again which throws me off.
I got a good one off at roe farm that obliterated 3 of the NPC flag guards and a player trying to hide amongst them, so it definitely has some good use cases. I just find it a little finicky, and I miss the stun from Dawnbreaker. DB is also quite cheap on sorc.

Same. I use it on accident sometimes, and hope nobody notices.

Currently It is very strong spec for one-shot ganking in PvP. Even stronger than what you can do on stam nb.

Personally I find it weird that sorcerer, an archetypical mage class is a better assassin than well... an actual archetypical assassin - that NB basically is in ESO.

But isn't that the light attack version? I haven't seen anyone ganks with heavy attack since it was removed from off balance. Even the new chamge to male overpaod cast from stealth visible is because of LA ganking, no?

He uses dizzying swing from stealth for the off balance and additional damage then finishes them off with heavy overloads. You really need perfect server performance for this to work..

I use Overload only for "use ultimate ability X times" endeavors.

I saw the videos, but it still does not make it any better because most targets die from the overlaod light attack and sometimes the first tick of heavy attack, nobody lives to be hit twice by the heavy attack. Also, next patch overlaod will get out of stealth.

Sometimes I'll see an overload heavy attack deal tons of damage, but the person in question is a glass cannon. Great in ball group fights from what I can tell when you have a higher chance of not getting targeted since you have allies to hide behind.
