Weakness to Elements now applies permanently until you leave combat

And cyrodiil has the long running bug of never leaving combat. Besides that, every single siege, someone is going to be spamming it on every single person they see, and anyone without an easy purge, or who is solo, will be completely screwed.

This is a truly titanic mistake, and it needs to be reverted. I have absolutely no idea what could have possessed someone to make this change. I guess necros, wardens, and templars will be fine. Absolutely absurd. [snip]

This is like adding in the necessity to bar and debar rapids, except now, its a -6k resist debuff.

This is basically a bug that is being intentionally introduced. What other debuff is PERMANENT?

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS ZOS. PLEASE. I LIKE SOLOING. CYRODIIL HAS A BUG WHERE YOU CANT LEAVE COMBAT. T_____T

I kinda wonder if this can keep the affected players in combat permanently? I mean I spam it on everyone at a siege or wherever, then go and stand next to a nice wolf soewhere out in the nowhere, and as long I'm in combat (which is effectively infinitely, that wolf not going to kill me ever...) will be all the people I put the debuff kept in combat?

Well in all fairness this was the unused morph, everybody runs elemental drain for the mag steal. Would only ever pay for maybe a magplar that has enough mag dmg to keep the mag steal from mag damage status effect going.

The stuck in combat bug needs to go away already.....

If you have not dealt damage, taken damage, or healed an ally in the past 20 seconds, you should be removed from combat. That would at least be a way to alleviate the never-ending part of the issue.

I don't know if it causes a problem but this morph is so useless it should have been the taunt instead of frost clench.

The issue is, unless you're a Templar, play in group with one or can afford the absurd cost of purge, you'll now have major breach on you 99% of the time. Let's be realistic - the stuck in combat bug is never going away. They tried fixing it so many times and it's just a feature at this point.

I don't know what they were thinking with this morph! Why not give it a different special effect? Like "restore 400-2400 mag when the effect expires or is cleansed based on how long it persists on enemy?"

They should at least change the purge ability. Make the Aoe one cost a lot and the other morph be self purge only with a low cost?

How are people screwed if they have major breach on them? That is a very common debuff.
And during siege you are probably going to take damage once in a while, and this morph in its current form can already have that on you for a prolonged period of time.
I don’t think the change will cause any problem.

The issue is you can be standing at the gate for 10 minutes still in combat because you were at a keep at some point.

The skill does not affect combat status, since you can cast it on NPCs and not pull them. Same with players. So this whole thread is moot.

    Perhaps you're not aware...

There's this fun thing that happens in Cryo where you just never leave combat. Defend a keep. Everyone dead. Travel to the gate. Try to log off. Can't because you're in combat.

Do some stuff in your bank. Turn in quests. Argue in zone chat.

    Still in combat.

This is a bad idea IMO... Most classes don't have a cleanse. I will now be debuffed with major breach from the moment I start playing now 😂 I would love the developers to think of better functionality to for this morph, but this is truly not it. It needs a time limit. If you want to make that a minute? it still makes it decent, but not silly.

The morph was semi-permanent already (refreshing every time target got any damage), so better for the server I guess? It really need some new effect. Cowardice or Timidity would be great.

The key here is the interaction with the "permanent combat" bug in cyrodiil. Step one in any siege is to stand on the wall and cast weakness to elements on every Sieger, and vice versa. It is absurd to think that one player can apply a permanent debuff to dozens of players, not only for an entire keep fight, but for 10, 20, 30+ minutes to anyone who happens to have crossed the player, because leaving combat is bugged.

Why not make this morph AOE ability so anything near your target is also affected too,

MagDK and MagSorc do not have any class Major Breach skills available.

This is a much better suggestion than being permanently breached 😂 do you mean it casts conally or something? Or that others near the primary target are effected? I quite like the idea of it being a short range conal as this makes it rewarding for magicka melee players.

To be fair, it would be hard to find a change to this ability worse than what they're proposing. If this actually goes through, people will be talking about their perma-breach more than the cyrodiil lag.

Better for the server? ZOS just released a slew of sets that proc an AOE pull! I can only imagine what computational load and client desyncs those will cause. :o

It's fine. The ability doesn't trigger combat nor keep you in combat. If it does, that is unintended. You know this because you can preapply it to enemies before combat starts. Also, remember that they buffed our defenses with increased battle spirit mitigation and easy major protection as well as easy major maim. Also, major breach is generally always applied anyway.

Should have it apply minor breach and an elemental damage in exchange for a shorter duration. Make it the magicka pierce armor. #bigbrainmoves
