Is there a class that can perform all 3 roles well?

Hello,
So I've just returned after an 8 months break due to injury. I want to play differently this time round. In the past I played most of my characters...I have a stamina and magicka version of each class. I've played all races too . I got tired of managing all my alts, it felt like a huge grind.

I just don't know what class could play all 3 roles effectively atm. I'd like to eventually do dungeons and raids again once my arm gets stronger. Ive recently had my cast removed . For now ill be doing wbs and try out normal dungeons soon. Reason i want all all rounder is so I dont get tempted to jump on an alt.

I feel that focusing on just one character and doing all activities on it would be better use of my limited playtime. Limited due to arm pain.

Thanks in advance for your replies

Warden and Necromancer are probably the best bets.

In raids you would want to have special characters, because you can't swap race bonuses the way you can swap stats or gear. Also you will have to change CP and mundus everytime which would be cumbersome.

All classes can perform all roles well, and can do so as any race

Warden. In pvp zone and solo. Also, you can use him for dungeons and arenas as tank/healer.

Dragonknight or Warden, probably Warden. They are good tanks and healers and passable dps. Although tbh I'd expand that number to 2 classes, a stam and a Magicka. You can have a tank that moonlights as a dps and a healer that moonlights as a dps.

This way there's less micromanagement of stats and gear. I think it's just a lot easier to not have to have worry about your main resource by having a toon for each.

Agree with Hapex about Warden. Dunno about Necro, they're probably good too but I've barely played that class.

I would also look at Templar, they're very versatile.

If you're casual then any class can do all, but if you wanna min/max and do vet hm trials, score pushing, achievements etc then you gotta have separate toons.

Warden. When they designed the warden skill trees they specifically made one branch for healing, one for DPS and one for tanking.

Necro stands out to me, regularly pug as a healer, but revert to dps when the group doesn't need any heals or swap gear when the tank quits. A simple switch in gear can make a huge difference....lots of skill points help.

as someone who has spent some time on all classes, both stam and mag versions, i agree with everyone's opinions lol..

all classes should be able to fill any role you want, if you play casually..

but if you minmax, certain classes standout for certain roles... dk for tanks, sorc and nb for dps, templars for healers and dps...

but the class that stands above all on fulfilling any role IMO are: necromancers and wardens... they both have dps(ranged and up close), heals(both group and single target), and tanking abilities...

these 2 are so versatile that both my magden and magcro have slots on dressing room addon for dps setup, tank setup, healer setup, and healer/dps hybrid setup..

necroes requires alot of microing, so if that is not your thing, warden might suit you..

Easy triple role will be magicka necro, even as tank, only uses a couple of stam skills from 1h + s, and the rest are magicka.
Very effective dual role will be warden due to strong class skills, stam for dps + tank, mag for dps + healer.

The main problem with running DD and tank on the same char is that you have to swap your attribute points. DDs spec everything into stam/mag and tanks generally spec almost everything into health.

You also have to swap CP but if you high enough you can tank most content with DD CP.

A healer is generally magicka based and has a similar build direction as mag DDs, its possible to change roles by swapping gear+skills for the most part.

If you're going into vet trails or vet DLC dungeons it might be smart to dedicate one char to each role, queuing as a tank/healer is usually pretty short anyway.

    Septimus Rulanir - Orsimer Templar
    Septimus Desmoru - Khajiit Necromancer
Septimus Iroh - Dunmer Dragon Knight
    Septimus Thragar - Dunmer Nightblade
    Septimus Jah'zar - Khajiit Nightblade
    Septimus Nerox - Redguard Warden
    Septimus Ozurk - Orsimer Sorcerer

I am not into corpses, so no opinion on Necro.
But Warden is awesome for anything, like previosly mentioned.
I would also like to put up Sorcerer.
PvP, Solo and PvE group roles can all be really well done on a sorc. One just has to use his tools right.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.
