Blackdrake Villa vet Hardmode first boss

I believe i found a bug in his attack like in the picture above.I did this level in hardmode in the past and i never had any problems. This time around the boss's attack was in between 9k dmg blocked and 58k through my shield leading to one shot. I don't think think is normal
I hope you can fix this.
