What's with the ESO trophies not porting from the PS4 to the PS5?

Here is a statement from ZOS:
"PlayStation 4 Trophies will still be visible on PlayStation 5, but new trophies earned on that console will count towards a separate Trophy set that is specific to PS5 gameplay."
What a load of tosh! I've just upgraded my PS4 to a PS5 and now have two different sets of trophies on the Playstation for one game.
I appreciate this is down to me for choosing to go for enhanced version of ESO, but why would the developers even think this is a good idea?
Does responsibility sit with the Playstation developers? I don't think so as very few - any - other games haven't had to make this transition.
Please, can this be rectified?

I'm thinking I might just have to avoid the PS5 Enhanced version when Trophy Hunting!2 -
kmcaj✭✭✭✭✭The enhanced version is much better overall. Currently if you earn a trophy in one version you're going to have to get it again on the other version with a character that doesn't have it already. This may or may not change in the future. So start collecting on enhanced because it's much better.1

We got a response there. They are looking into it and will inform us in the future if they are able to import trophies.
Keep that thread alive to show them that we won't give up!
