Performance Framrate is Unacceptable on PS5

I have been testing the framerate for the past few days and while it is perfect during questing it is downright horrible during trials and other group activities. Before you say well trials is intense with 12 people I even did a world boss in Blackwood and the framerate dropped to BELOW 30 and it felt extremely sluggish. The thing is I was the ONLY person there. The lag started immediately after the boss started putting fire aoes on the floor. I really think this is something you need to look into as it is making any non questing content virtually unplayable and not fun.

Thank your Microsoft Overlords. It works heavenly on the new Xbox. Blows my mind I don't even get load screens any more between zones just transitions instantly it's insane.

It's not really worth it to me, I prefer fidelity over performance mode right now simply because I still have issues swapping bars and/or skills aren't going off in either mode, and I'd rather not look at a blurry scene while I'm playing. I'm usually over 100mbs speed, so I doubt my internet is the issue.

Im not talking about questing or delves. Have you tried trials with the performance mode yet? Please dont lie if you havent.

There is decreased image quality in exchange for more power, that's how performance mode works. Performance mode feels great for the most part though, it's just same desync issues because of crap servers.

It totally depends on your vision, your tv, and how well you can perceive the resolution difference.

On a 55in television it can be quite clear the difference between 1440 and 4K when up close. Of course the farther away you are from the tv the less you notice.

I now switch between the two modes. Combat is in performance mode while taking in the land/home decoration/outfitting is in fidelity mode.

I was under the impression that it's 1080p in performance mode, is it 1440?

Least for me i have a pretty significant framerate improvement in performance mode, its like a whole other game

Fidelity mode however is utterly broken, crashes galore

I have the same, I probably just have good vision (for now), I'm usually sitting 5-7 feet away, but it's pretty noticeable to me at any distance.

I agree in BGs I have worse performance than prior to the introduction of performance mode. PS5.

Ive had some success in BGs by reducing the resolution on my console to 1080p

I agree....until you get to group content. Some dungeons run fine but Trials is REALLY bad. Also many World bosses and world events are horrible.
