I have had to deal with flying pets and oversized bears for years now, as they block my attempt to interact with the world around me. Now, the developers have introduced another set of irritants without addressing the issue. Again.

I'm beyond frustrated. I'm actually pissed off I have to travel to different areas simply because people either stand in doorways or block other areas requiring interaction.

Ever try to interact with a crafting station surrounded by 4 bears, 2 twilights, and 6 damn companions? It's not enjoyable.

In several parts of cities in the game, we are forced to dismount, indicating a special function was written for this purpose.

Can a developer explain to us why this function cannot include pets and for all cities in the game?

I'm sure some will argue the duel feature is why, but I don't buy this as it doesn't take much to step outside a city to duke it out.

It's just really bothersome to see how the game tries to improve for the better, but then turns and craps on the QoL we've been waiting the past 7 years for.

I really try my best to enjoy this game, but it's the little crap like this which just starts to build up frustration.

I should also point out, during combat, these things also block my damn shots, too.

It shouldn't be this way and it's about time it's fixed.

No. It's well overdue for a fix. I can deal with the combat blocking issue as a compromise, but the city lockdown is a request for implementation, please.

I completely argree. However, I'd suggest that ZOS make combat pets and companions viewable only to their owners and party members.

As an alternative, give us a button that toggles pets and companions out of view.

I believe that since there's a mechanic where only a Store previewer can see the costumes they're trying it can certainly be implemented for pets/companions.

I play Wardens and Pet-bearing Sorcs and make it a point to remove my pets before entering crowded areas. I really hate flappers in my face and big bear butts hiding things I need to click on.

In my game, all companions except mine are removed in busy/city areas. From my perspective, my companion is the only one I see when using urban crafting stations/merchants etc. I think this has been an elegant and wonderful solution and, though in need of some expected tweaking, I'm very pleased with the companion system and am very glad to have it.

Regarding summoned combat pets, I share your concern about their obtrusiveness in crowded areas. As a responsible pet owner, I always unsummon mine in town - the PC addon Pet Dismiss eases this greatly over the somewhat cumbersome vanilla steps to dismiss pets. At a minimum, I would love to see an improved vanilla ability to one hotkey unsummon pets, and for the winged twilight have its sized reduced to an adorable one quarter of its present size.
