Character customization is a big part of the game. Its been improved a lot over the years but there is still room for improvement and there are a lot of community requested features that could be added. Its been awhile since we got any major overhaul to this area of the game and I wanted to lay out some problems and suggestions for when the devs think about adding on to this.
Hands and Shoulders: This is a common request ive seen a lot on the forums. For various reasons sometimes we dont want to have anything displayed in the shoulders or hands slots.
Accessories: Wings, Hip Boats, Potions, Scrolls, Pouches, Books. There are quite a few armors with these kinds of addons. It would be nice to have the option to hide these.
Sleeves: Theres a pretty good selection of hand options that both go up to the arm or elbow and ones that stop a the wrist. When you mix and match styles the wrist gloves can end up looking a bit odd on armor chest styles that were designed only for long hand armor. A good example of this is Ancestral High Elf with Ancient Elf or Celestial Gloves. There should be an option for both tight or loose "wizard sleeves" and a way to switch between them.
Flaps:
- Crotch Flaps: Sometimes we dont want these. Dont mind that they are included but there should be a way to hide them.
- Butt Flaps: Or rather of lack them. I dont know about anyone else but Zos has been on a crotch flap with no butt flap kick the last few years, and I absolutely hate it lol. It would be nice if armors with crotch flaps had butt flaps added and the option of hiding them. Independently from the front one and also made available to the beast races so they have the option to take or leave them too. (Would make my friends very happy so I can stop complaining about Fang lair jerkin and Ancestral High elf Cuirass)
Growing Amount of motifs: With Blackwood I think we have over a hundred motifs now. Multiply that times 3 for each weight or 4 for each weight plus jerkin for chests. We have 300-400 individual options to choose from per armor slot, plus style pages. A way to add these to categories like favorites or hide is going to eventually become a quality of life necessity if not considered so already.
Suggestions:
1) Add a hide option for hands and shoulders to the outfit menu similar to the existing options for heads.
2) Add a mark as favorite and hide function to mark individual styles pieces into categories and give us a option to display only display those categories.
3) Add more customizations options and a drop down menu with check marks to select the different options. Make It so when you equip the selected style it opens a menu where you can check to toggle specific parts of an outfit. Such as hide accessories (Like wings, books pouches), hip boats, flaps. Could go back and add butt flaps (Just mirror the front) and sleeve options to motifs and make them selectable in the menu also. Finally you could add in the options to select from different versions of the motif, like the 1-4 versions of the racial motifs or add future alternate versions of some armors like, apostle light without the robot elbows and knees (please).
If I missed any features you would like to see added, feel free to add the suggestions below.

For the motives it would be nice to have an option for sorting... maybe dlc-wise, like the sets?

Kadoozy✭✭✭✭Not sure they will ever remove tassets from chest pieces. I doubt these armor pieces are separate objects and are just part of the same skin. Im guessing they would have to go in and individually remove/remake each armor in order to remove the "hip flaps" everyone complains about. Which is simply too much work and won't happen/is not worth it to the company.
So I dont see it happening.
Hide armor feature for each piece would be nice though.0
