I saw the leaked comments on what that ring was was supposed to do. It would have been heavily abused and would have upended the mat market in the game by an insane extent. I don’t think we’ll ever see anything like it in the game.
No please.
My tank and healer characters already carry around 3+ different sets of gear to use for combat. I don't want to feel the need to carry another one or several for different farming activities.

So you'd rather spend an extra hour farming than take 2 minutes to change gear?

My farming character is a DD, so she has her DD gear and her speed running farming gear. Two full gear sets ain't bad on the inventory.
If I'm also going to be storing and swapping full gear sets for fishing and crafting, that's going to get annoying. You know how players already complain about green tree micromanagement with CP 2.0? Swapping gear around in order to do my writs, then swapping out to go do other things is the same thing.
At least on PC, I have addons I could download. Console players have to play the gear micromanagement game manually.

Make sets of armor that increase the efficacy of siege so that when people are zerging, there is a hard counter to it - people playing castle defense in siege armor that can bust up a zerg with some well placed meatbags/coldfire shots, or oil drops. And if the armor sets were built right, they wouldn't provide any benefit in other areas of combat, so there would definitely be pros/cons to setting yourself up that way.

I didn't see that in the patch notes. Do you know which week it was added?
v7.0.2 says: "Removed some remaining in-game references to an early Mythic jewelry piece, the Harvester's Hope-Ring, which was ultimately not added to the game at this time."
