Hello to the ESO community,
This will be my first post. Just want to share my thought on the game.
First off I would like to say thank you for all the help with crafting and daily and master writs. With 17 characters every little bit of help on reducing time is appreciated. There is one thing I would like you to consider that would cut a third off of everyone's crafting time and considering the new "Endeavors" system I am sure everyone would appreciate a little more time to explore. As for the idea, allow crafted items to be stacked on the crafter. You can limit the stacks to maybe a week of a daily writs. As of right now the Alchemy and Provisioning stack, Enchanting and the others do not. Each piece you create takes up a space in your inventory. It would be so nice to have to craft once a week, then just have to log in with the character grab the writs and turn them in.
Maybe my scenario is different then most considering I actually play all my characters and like to keep their overall inventory to a minimum.
Not sure what you were thinking when you decided to just whip away 66+% of everyone's total earned experience with update 29. I personally was only CP1423 when that update took affect. Seeing my experience requirement drop form 1,136,000 to 365,000 to gain a lever without a CP adjustment to be honest has me upset. I figure I lost over 4 billion in experience or roughly 900 Champion Points. To be blunt, you set me back 2 years and I have only been playing 3. I will be honest, I was recovering from cancer treatments and unemployed when I started playing and hit CP810 in less then 9 months. CP cap was 750 when I started playing.
The only thing I can think of as a way to help correct this would be to create an Enlightenment Time multiplier based on the players CP level at the time of the update. Maybe you can create a token that is connected to the ESO plus subscription that applies the bonus Enlightenment based on the players CP level on each server. Yes on the PS4 NA server (My Main) I was CP1423 at the time of the update. I had also just started playing on the EU server and my only character there had not even reached CP at the time of the update so I would not expect a boost on my experience.
As of right now everyone get 400,000 daily enlightenment each day stacking up to 12 times. With the adjustments I am going to suggest you can either do away with or adjust the stacking.
My suggestion:
CP level at time of update 29 / Multiplier / Stack limit
CP 0 to 249 / 2 / 6
CP 250 to 499 / 4 / 3
CP 500 to 749 / 6 / 2
CP 750 to 999 / 8 / 2
CP 1000 to 1249 / 10 / 2
CP 1250 to 1499 / 12 / 2
CP 1500 to 1749 / 14 / 2
CP 1750 to 1999 / 16 / 2
CP 2000 Plus / 18 / 2
With this kind of adjustment most player can get to where they should have been in a little over 3 months if they play regularly. It would be nice if we could keep this bonus tell about CP3000 then cut it in half to make acquiring the last 600 CP a little more challenging.
I recently read a post about creating veteran level story line content. This would be a great idea considering that after finishing the story on normal it is way to easy and way to time consuming to do again unless you adjust the rewards and experience for veteran players. My suggestion would be to create veteran level Instances, adjusting everything in the zones, this would include world bosses, delves, public dungeons and dolmans. You should also improve the quality of items dropped. As a requirement to access the veteran Instance a player has to have completed the main Harborage storyline and Cadwell's challenge in each of the 3 alliances on at least 1 of their characters, No Pot helmet no access. I personally spent the first four months doing nothing but storyline content since I was unfamiliar with MMO's and was just looking for something to fill my time.
My thoughts on Undaunted Que's. There seems to be a problem with this at this time. To many players queuing as something they are not, primarily the tank position. Really is disappointing to que as a damage dealer then when you finally get to the dungeon the tank is fake. The other problem has to do with how players complete the dungeon. As you can see form my new handle (Slow_And_Steady2) I like to take things well slow and steady. With the experience bonus for random daily dungeons a lot of players are just burning through the dungeons just to get the experience and transmute crystals this is very disappointing when you are a player actually looking for something out of the dungeon or just trying to enjoy killing everything for the XP and loot. My suggestion would be to give players a choice on that kind of run they are looking for. At the top of the Que add 3 choices. 1) Speed Run 2) Regular Run and 3) Fixed Group. With the fixed group players can enter the dungeon as whatever they are without having to change there roll to accommodate the Que restriction. The draw back to Fixed is that if someone DC's or leaves, the group is only allowed to get a replacement from friends or out of a guild, They can't drag a replacement in from the Que.
Something I would love to see would be 6 player dungeons. 1 tank, 1 healer and 4 damage dealers.
Trial Que? Not at this time. What you might what to create is a hosting system where a player and choose to host a trial or undaunted dungeon and by doing so they can post a link in either guild chat or zone chat. I would allow the host to set the requirements for players to join. Example VAA minimum CP400 along with if it is going to be a speed run, normal or training. The link should allow player to join the group without an invite for the host. The only catch being some who has been banned by the host. Sorry but we all do not get along. Then once the host que is full everyone travels to the trial or dungeon at the same time.
Jewelry crafting,
For the life of me I guess whomever you placed in charge of jewelry crafting must have never bought a piece of jewelry in the real world. I look at the return for deconstructing jewelry as pitiful. It would be like buying a ring or neckless for $3,000 and when you go to sell it only getting $30 back. To be honest the main reason I do daily writs is for the Chromium Grains. With 17 playable characters and with how often you add new sets to the game it is a constant struggle to keep up. I personally would love to experiment but the cost is to great to waste gold materials on anything you are not sure of. At least for me.
You may want to consider a 3 tier ESO plus system. The 1st tear being the current ESO Plus subscription. 2nd tier or Silver would double the amount of resources you get from nodes along with adding 50 spots to a characters inventory and 100 places to the players bank along with an extra 500 crowns per month. The 3rd tier or gold would give 3 time the normal drop from resource nodes and add 100 spaces to character inventory and 200 to the players bank along with an extra 1000 crowns per month. Each tier would cost an extra $4.99 a month. Adjust as you wish for players like myself who buy ESO plus by the year.
Glitches,
The only real glitch a see other then the being kicked form the server form time to time has to do with has to do with turning in Alchemy Daily Writs. The Box does not open. I can still complete the writs. It is just a visual glitch and only on about half of my characters at the moment. Seems to appear over time.
New Glitch,
Not able to move curser/marker in craft bag. Not able to retrieve materials.
One lost thing. PETS!!! I personally hate them. Combat or non-combat. Yes I have a Warden and Mag Sorc so I am very familiar with how they block a players view or get in the way when trying to collect loot or open a door. I am hoping you my want to create a SPECIAL token kind of like what you have for the warden Slate-Gray Summoned Bear but will turn all combat pet to appear as Shadowy like the Shadowrend Clannfear, this should include pets for proc set. It would also be nice to be able to turn on or off other players non-combat pets for view. As I stated, I hate pets I feel them like an anchor slowing my characters plus they are always behind so not much to look at anyway. When I do a dungeon and other players have pets out and combat pet out and the banker or merchant it looks like a ZOO running through the dungeon. Also seems to be more lag since system has more to render.
Bankers and Merchants should have an auto dismiss after no being used for 30 seconds.
Well that is enough for now.
Thanks for reading and have a great day.
