World boss ?

I swear I don't know what happened to this community. I ask in chat if anyone wants to help me kill a world boss. Sometimes I get people who are interested and come over and do it. Then I get these other asses that want to group up then want 500 or more gold to help me. I had one guy ask for a 1000 gold. And all these players are end game players with more than 1000 cp. What is the deal here?

Those guys are just being jerks. A lot of players will help. Sounds like you had bad luck.

All these years and it never occurred to me to ask for money to go and help another player.

I have never once asked for anything, except when on an alt, as I'll ask to group, but explain it's explicitly because I'm on an alt and haven't unlocked the wayshrine yet.

The one world boss I drop everything for to help others with is Ysmgar (Western Skyrim). He isn't hard, he hits like an angry toddler, no, he's annoying. His mechanics are a rage inducing nightmare, and I hate fighting him. So why do I help? Because I've been the poor guy needing help with him, and no one wanted to, probably because all of the reasons above. So, I suck it up and go kill him, swearing the entire time.

I'd rather think the lack of interest is that more players can solo their own world bosses and have done them to death when artifacts came about last year. Or maybe that's why some idiots think there's a market for mercenary world boss killers now...

Players actually ask for gold to help with a World Boss? Wow.

I've asked for help several times when I was trying to complete a zone, and people always come. So I make sure to go help when I hear others asking. And I see that with a lot of players.

I'm dumbfounded by the idea of charging another player for your help.

Thank you all for the replies. I don't get it either. I don't know how someone could really do this. It's happened to me 3 times so far. But most times I get people like you guys that just want to help.

Wow! The biggest problem I have with world bosses is that during the time I play, late at night, there aren't a lot of people on. So if I'm trying to do daily quests or something and need help with a world boss, I usually don't get it. I've never had someone try to charge me. That's a d*ck move!

I would just laugh if they asked for 500-1k gold lol. If they’re that desperate for gold then you have far less problems than they do.

Oh my. I'm sorry for that, OP, but I also find it slightly amusing because 500 golds, really now? they could just collect some carapace and sell it if they're hurting so much for money.

On a side note, I'm chat-silent and group-lazy so, I appreciate it when someone that is asking for help specifies the boss name, so I can teleport there easy peasy. I've read messages in chat asking for help with the 'big guy', 'the crab' (well, I know this one), 'the one south/west'. I mean, stop a sec and read the name or don't complain that no one's coming

How desperate does one have to be to ask for 1k gold?

Maybe it was just some roleplayer who was playing a mercenary, and therefor hd to demand a smal sum of gold.
