The old story - vampires and sunlight

After a very long time I came to the Wittestadr-quest in Eastmarch. It struck me that the danger of sunlight was mentioned again and again, when I was playing it for the first time years ago, I did not pay any attention to that. I assume that it is connected to the different strains of the vampirism, but when I now think back then I don´t remember that this topic actually would have been addressed during the entire Greymoor year, or did I miss something?

Pretty sure vampires just forgot that they had a sunlight weakness.

Lore wise, yes, it's different vampire strains.

Gameplay-wise, it's near impossible to enforce day vs night mechanics on the player when the player has no control over either. In the singleplayer games, TES players could [WAIT X Hours] as long as they needed. In ESO, you can't and the night is considerably shorter than the day.

Yes, I can remember that. Of course, this cannot be implemented in ESO.

But it is strange that in the early quests, like that in Wittestadr, the thing with the sunlight is emphasized several times, but for example Fennorian or Verandis never say anything about it.
