When do scrying leads expire?

How does one determine when scrying leads will expire? The Display Leads addon shows 33 days for all my leads. They apparently were all set back to that with the last update, but they haven't changed since then. When I select a lead from my journal I see nothing to indicate an expiration time.

Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

✭✭✭✭✭The addon has issues. Don't depend on it. Leads expire in 30 days - so, since the addon hasn't ever worked correctly for that function, I get a lead, I make a note in a file about what lead, where to find it, and when it expires. And then of course, I keep that file open in notepad++ the whole time I'm playing....
Now, I do still use the addon, because it has very valuable info for where leads can be found, what content you can find them in, etc. But you absolutely cannot count on it for expiry dates. I guess the author couldn't figure it out - the addon updates through Minion but there hasn't been a recent one - last update was early March, and the expiry date still doesn't work.0 -

I haven't found that to be true. I've had leads disappear that I've dug before when I didn't pay close enough attention to expire date. In fact, I've had blue leads (the ones you get from green leads dug) disappear if I got interrupted in play for whatever RL reason, and spaced that I had to go back to whatever zone it was.
In fact the latest lead that disappeared was the "old aldmeris" one on my main PC EU account. It shouldn't have expired - I already have two of them on that account. It's gone - it disappeared during the jubilee event when I didn't have time to even think about leads.... and I totally failed to make myself a tickler to keep track due to RL stuff, plus three double XP events almost back to back to back. Yeah, my own fault for spacing it (and not like I need three of them anyway other than to see the third entry in the Codex....) and I'm sure it will show up again at some point!
But I have found a lot of fairly iffy stuff with antiquities overall, and the addon in particular - though the addon is really good at telling you which zone/what content where you can find it.0
