Antiquity Lead Drop Rates

I'd like to see some adjustments made to the drop rates for some antiquities. Specifically, I still have yet to see a single stained glass window that drops from dragons in Northern Elsweyr. And I really hate fighting dragons. Conversely, I can't find room for all the Void Crystal Anomalies I've dug up. It's a bit silly, and quite discouraging after all these months.

I got two of those and I don't know what to do with them. They're HUGE.

I have a few of the stained glass. I put one up at my Antiquarian's house just because I felt obligated to. I don't really like it though. It's too big and too many bright colors.

The Void Crystal Anomalie leads are very easy to find and a great way to level scrying, if nothing else.

Yes, that's why. Trouble is, I don't have any luck with it at all. Two accounts, on both PC megaservers - I have a total of 5 of them.

Yah, I'm aware I don't "have" to level to 10 on every character - but I want to, because I don't want to have to swap around to just go grab a really nice gold lead. Whoever gets it, I want to just go do it. It's just one more "farming" thing for me. So I slog out to 10 on alts. Haven't got them all yet, still working on it.

Have you tried digging it the moment you got it? I have noticed that it can sometimes be in there without notifying you, and that grinding feels like it makes it pop faster rather than doing it on different days. I also think it only pops so quickly from the flowers in Hollow City as I haven't ever got one anywhere else.

The fact that it drops from dragons only makes it more difficult. Once upon a time dragons would barely live more than 5min. Nowadays it's difficult to get enough people to kill just one.

I never liked killing dragons, poor creatures. No wonder they're going extinct.

I wish the leads never expired and where bound to all characters. I hate getting rare leads on characters I havent even touched the skill lines with..

They are bound to all characters. It doesn't matter which of your characters finds the lead... any of them with enough skill can then scry and excavate it.

As someone who has grind all three stained glass for the codex.....I agree that some antiquities should have drop rates upped for those trying to get it. It was an insane 3 week experience for me, but got there in the end.....what a grind though!!

I didn't get any from flowers in the City - because there are a bajillion streak farmers grabbing them before I can get there. I got two from ore nodes, and one each from cloth, alchemy, and wood nodes. Way outside of the City - actually mostly down from Library of Dusk toward Haj Uxith.

Farm flowers in Hollow city, once you got the lead dig it up, repeat 40 times.
You want excavation to be 9 for the stage 2 chest passive, at this point I respec and return rest of the skillpoints.
Has 7 with excavation 9,

I'm not interested in the chest passive. I find plenty of chests without it. I never put points there. I'm interested in all my characters being able to dig up any lead they run across, right then, without having to swap to someone else, or leave it for someone else later, and forget I have it.

I don't ever play a game like most people do....

I've farmed Old Orsinium a lot for Anvil of Old Orsinium, but no sign of it. The other leads from there keep dropping though without an issue.

Some things has an awful low drop rate.

Yeah, that's another one I've never been able to get, although in fairness I haven't farmed Old Orsinium as much.

Did they ever actually FIX the Anvil lead so it drops at all? It was bugged for a long time at release.

They fixed it, I've had two drop since they did. But since I started farming for it the past couple weeks, I've only had the tusks of the orc father drop oh about EVERY SINGLE TIME. Not a single anvil drop.

Huh. Well, that's a bit strange then. I don't run dungeons so have none of the dungeon leads at all. The Tusks leads I got in other areas in Wrothgar - I have I think two each on each of two accounts on both PC megaservers; most of those I got from chests and harvesting nodes - one of them dropped off a harpy I ran right into because I wasn't paying attention....

What happens if you keep the Tusks lead active so it can't drop again? I wonder if that improves the chance of the Anvil drop...
