Infinite"Requesting character load" upon swapping characters.

As per title, everything works as intended unless I switch character. When I do, the character I try to load next gets stuck in an infinite "Requesting character load" loop. If I ALT+F4 from the game and re-launch it, I'm then able to load a different character - but it's mind-boggling annoying and I'm afraid to close the launcher given the issues people are having. Anyone else / any suggestions on how to solve the issue? Thanks in advance.

ilichSoul ShrivenThe same for me. Except I can't log in at all. "Requesting character load..." for a minute and then "Error 334 (3:1:1097:0) Lost lobby connection". I'm on EU.0 -
