Suggestion -Incentives to Play yr Role in Dungeons

Having read the forum posts/guild chat feeds etc and witnessed how some plyrs are in dungeons. I wonder if incentives could be a way? Extra XP, gold, crystals, motifs could be given in dungeon reward boxes for fulfilling yr role. Healer = points of healing done Dd = points of dmg done and tanks = points of blocking with extra for all team using synergies etc.
Is it possible? Would it help?

The incentive is completing the dungeon painlessly. Giving people tagged as a role bonuses in that role would only encourage more role faking. And random queues already get a boost in weapon/spell power, so DPS are already getting your proposed incentive yet they're still cutting the line by signing up as healers and tanks.

Don't incorporate bugs into your builds, and you won't have [an] issue.

The idea is to discourage fake tanks and healers. I am trying to understand how it would encourage more fake roles. Dd queues as a tank - his dps surely will be higher than his block points so no reward box. I just think that on an individual basis there should be a reward for fulfilling yr role even if others do not.

So if I'm a DD who outheals the designated healer, do I deny that person their bonus loot? Do I get the bonus loot for doing the most heals when assigned as a DD?

No if yr heals are more than yr DPS you will not get a reward box but if the healer does the points required then they still get the box.

Healers are only necessary when there is lots of incoming damage and people cannot sustain themself. ZOS didn't design dungeons for that role, except a few vet DLC hardmodes and vet Blackrose. Same with the new dungeons for example Black Drake Villa. Not a lot of healing needed until the 4th secret boss hardmode, there the amount of heals needed is insane. ZOS chose to design dungeons this way.

Oh and please don't start about the buffs, tanks have been using Spell Power Cure/Olorime/Powerful Assault for years now.

About tanks I think everyone agrees that you need one, on vet. But I haven't seen fake tanks in vet dungeons.

So It might be me, but I fail to grasp the problem here.

I think WoW did this at one time. Giving extra loot for the “in demand” position.

The problem I think in ESO is that it would just encourage fake tanks and healers even more. Not only will they get a fast queue, but they get an extra reward if they are not kicked.

That said if yr dps points are high enough and you did points of healing than that would get you a box. As a healer or tank who did their points and dmg also.:)

Random normals already give enough rewards, that's the whole problem, no need to add more. Alot of people aren't doing vets anymore because you get the same rewards and you can fake role them. Normals should give significantly less xp and transmutes than vet, esp vet dlcs.

Current situation is like this: me logging in, I want my 100k xp and 10 transmutes. Which should I do, queue for random vet and wait in queue for 20-30min as dps and possibly get dlc which the pug may not even able to finish OR queue as fake tank for normal and get in instantly and finish in 5-10min? hmm, tough decision lol.

10k xp for daily random normal and 1 transmute crystal and fake roles are almost gone. Incentives should be given to do harder content not the easiest. Rewards should scale up with difficulty.

So if with both dds use the pale order ring, the healer doesn't get loot?
Sounds like an awesome idea. :s

You realize in another game (FF14) they do a lot to basically train people to play each role.

But then again, their classes imply the different roles (eg Marauder = tank, Conjurer = healer, etc.). No one has to completely respec their character into something useless for normal leveling / adventuring.

That’s why I have often played a tank in 14, but never even thought about it here. And they do give out rewards for classes that are in need.

My suggestion is for both random vet and normal. I definitely feel rewards should be greater for vet, but the box should reflect yr contribution to the group in fulfilling yr role and any additional support. Just trying to find a solution that could help. I think rewards are often a good incentive :)

I disagree. Vet difficulty is not work we get paid for. It shouldn't ever have better rewards than fun for completing difficult content and feeling like Chuck Norris.
Torchlight 2 gets difficulties right. Less drops on elite, more drops on very light, so very light is freaking fun to play and elite is freaking hardcore and fun to play.
Also suggesting to cripple transmute income that is very low itself is a very bad idea. See people playing BGs, because you get more than 1 transmute crystal there.
Let's be extremely precise in our use of terms.
