ZENIMAX: Here's how you can convince me to buy more crates

Every now and then I press F3 just to hear that Kajit sit on his crate and tell me how I'm his friend and he's always nice and convincing. I confess (and I'm not being sarcastic), he is a great venue to tempt me into buying a crate. But I never hear enough of his pitch. I like this guy, I would easily buy more crates if there was a way I could interact more with him (by my choice). For example, you know those type of sales pitches where you go to a literal presentation for an hour to be convinced to buy a time share? People don't get angry with a long pitch when they volunteer to be there. If I could "volunteer" to hear this Kajit guy be my friend and interact with him in a longer type of pitch, I'd definitely be buying more crates. He's too cool. Just sayin.

I wish he came to you in-game randomly and hit you up with a sales pitch, and if you just buy 1 crate he will try and upsell you to 15, now that's ZOS right there.

Buying a certain number of crates with each season... could unlock you additional free crates. Skipping to buy one season will reset the "calendar". End of the year will also reset the "calendar".

For example if you bought 15 crates in season 1, will gift you 1 free crate when you purchase 15 crates in season 2.

We have 4 seasons each year.
On season 1 we can purchase 15 crown crates.
On season 2 we should receive 1 free crate if we purchased 15 crates in season 1 and 15 crates in season 2.
On season 3 we should receive 2 free crates if we purchased 15 crates in season 1, 15 crates in season 2 and 15 crates in season 3.
On season 4 we should receive 3 free crates if we purchased 15 crates in season 1, 15 crates in season 2, 15 crates in season 3 and 15 crates in season 4.

Once a new year begin. The "calendar" should reset.

If you purchased 15 crates on each season of the year, 4x15, then besides the 6 extra crown crates we could also receive an additional bonus.

Also if you purchase lets say 10x 15 crates from same season, we should be rewarded with additional bonuses.

This whole system could be also implemented into the UI collections.

Also it would be very nice if every now in a while, we could have the option to purchase some older crown crates. For example we could have 30 days of Christmas event and each day we could have access to a different crown crate pack.

You never really read all his woodworker hireling letters, did you? If you didn't, I strongly recommend doing so. It might change your views a bit, though. 😂

There is a Trading Guild named "Pacrooti's Hirelings" waiting for you on the EU servers if you want. It's not too bad either! ;)

Let's forget about the countries that are locked out of Crown Crates due to legal matters.
I'd gladly buy more crates but simply can't, and ZoS has yet to come up with an alternative...
Surprises me they haven't since it involves them receiving money.

It's much fun being able to stare at the items each season, knowing you won't ever get 'em...
Unless you relay on stream crates... then you only need to watch streams for about 4 years before you can buy a fancy mount with gems.

That is really on your government at this point. ZOS has made crates so that they can be bought with in game gold and all prizes can be direct purchased using gems. They also published the odds of winning a prize in each tier.

May I express my unhappiness with crown crates and the fact it encourages gambling?

If its about making money, people have repeatedly stated they would be happy to buy these things for crowns from the crown store, but not through buying crates.

Lol! Even worse, have him knock on the door of your house while you are inside, and start his pitch when you answer!

You convice me other way - more real rng, less predatory and scamming algorithms. It's not accident that most of the time you get the worst rewards of every tier - always useless tattos and rarely mount or cool outfit. I don't buy crates, because they are not fair mechanic for player. I really want to support game and get some goodies, but I won't be part of something like this. Shame that too many people don't respect own money (or are rich enough to don't care).

I live in the US, we wouldn't ban them. You can buy them with in game currency and everything in them can be obtained with gems. We also allow gambling in most place, including online. The chances of banning crown crates is pretty much nil here.

Anything in crown crates can be obtained with a $300-$400 investment depending on your luck.

can't they be gifted either from a player in a different country, a crownseller?

It is important to always cultivate a healthy relationship with your pusher. Pacrooti approves! XD

EDIT: Of course for me, the only way they can entice me to spend more money is by putting more things that I actually want available to buy at reasonable prices. I have absolutely ZERO interest in gambling for the sake of it.

Yes they can be bought with gold.. but then again keep in mind, scammers exist. So if you think that's a viable alternative. no it isn't.

There is that risk yes. But i heard that ZOS takes the scamming very seriously and if you document everything and get scammed ZOS will go after the scammer and ban them. There are also guilds that exists on PC anyway that the guild guarantees that you will not be scammed by any members. If a member scams, they are banned from the guild for life and reported.

I know it still doesn't make it a great option. I fully support ( and wish) ZOS would implement something like crown vouchers that i could buy from the crown store and then list on a guild trader. Then you could buy them off the guild trader and it would be as safe for both of us as any other guild trader interaction.

Sooooo... this thread is sort of a complaint .... with suggestions .... to help the Company ..... do a better job ..... at conning, errrr, convincing ..... players to Buy crates?

and, by the by, people don't sit through those sales pitches because they willingly committed the time to it. They sit through them because they were promised a reward - so long as they sat through the sales pitch.

I believe there is a Discord group with people you can hire to act as middleman. And then some people will also send the items before receiving gold if you’d feel better going that route. I don’t know how common that is, but was really surprised and grateful when a seller that I bought from offered that (it was the most gold I’d be sending/trading to a complete stranger and the majority of what I had so I asked how they would feel about half up front and half on receipt but they sent entirely up front  ).

Oh his name is Pacrooti. Didn't know that. Well I like this guy, he is really convincing and always so polite. Last night I was in the middle of a big boss fight and accidentally summoned Pacrooti. He popped on his crate and we did some business together as I was getting burned alive.myfriend.png
