dungeons and maelstrom vateshran rng

the rng is insane especially on maelstrom and vateshran. we need the token system. there should be a limit on how often we gotta do that run ppl end up with 100 + runs without the weapon they need. ive been trying to get the maelstrom healing staff for a very long time now. as u can see i was here since 2015 i dont even have the nonperfect one this is like some kind of a joke.

today i got 2 inferno staffs and 3 lightening and some other things its ridiculous. 40 mins for each run that isnt even fun for me anymore. i feel having a 2nd job. im done with this game for now untill this *** gets fixed.

ive stopped playing black desert becouse i hate grinding the same mindless *** for hours just to play some pvp matches and when the new dlc comes im still grinding maelstrom or what ? Atleast Black Desert grinding was more fun by design every kill could drop u some super expensive ring or necklace this gives u some diablo vibes and i enjoy that but its not the same for eso.

increase the gold rewards or smthing even if u dont want to make the rng better. its just so *** useless to do those runs just for trash items. JUST LET ME FEEL THOSE 40 MINS WERE WORTH IT.

I agree, the RNG is a joke, and I think it's really funny how it can vary so wildly. I've never gotten a vMA (or nMA for that matter) inferno, but I could build a boat out of all my restos and bows. I don't have ANY perfected destros from vMA! (I did get a perfect fire stick to drop from Vatty, though.)

I think arenas need a couple things:
1. A token system. Every final chest drops a token, and so many tokens can be exchanged for a weapon, or at least a coffee* containing a weapon of the type you're seeking (staves, one handers, etc.)
2. Increase the transmutes in the chest. 4 crystals is insultingly low when you can queue for a random normal dungeon and get 10 for doing FG1, or go to Cyrodiil and earn 50+ (after a month, granted) for repairing a few walls or doing a few fetch quests. I'd say about 25 at least would be fair, given the amount of work involved.

*I meant coffer. Phone autocorrected. But I'd gladly take a Starbucks coupon. Gonna need that caramel macchiato for all the grinding I still have to do.

50+ runs for Hungering Void bow & staff style pages, & one vate fire staff...I've got my pve fill for a year atleast.

I don't think we'll ever be able to buy the exact weapon we are looking for. But something like undaunted keys or the key fragments from IC would make the grind more tolerable.

If I knew beforehand that 20 tokens would allow me to at least buy the right type of weapon, I wouldn't mind running vates/vma 20 times.

Yes it is really " harrasment ".

Firts farm vMA 100+ times for stuff.

Then refarm it 100+ times for perfect.

We cry that we will not need to go that @$_&$ arena newer again when we drop it finnaly.

And it is just boring, no fun, each run is already perfect run even if you do not look to screen.

But this stupid arena just do not drop it !!!

At least a green cp tree passive or two:

- "Non collected set pieces have a 20% higher chance per stage to drop than collected set pieces" with 5 stages.
- "Non end bosses have a 10% per stage chance to drop a set weapon " with 5 stages

I would absolutely love this, I hate getting the same already collected piece over and over again.

thats something i can live with. i mean u might go 50 runs to have all the weapons but u do get it in the end ur effort pays off.

if zenimax wants us to permanently do those runs then there should be some extra rewards so it gets worth while.

the content is not bad but repeating it over and over without gaining anything other than trash items is just a horrible experience.

This would be an incredible help to my game enjoyment to at least collect items I haven't already gotten.

Even if I can't control the order of when I get an item, I could unlock it for stickerbook at least within 30ish runs that way. Which I hope is plenty enough 'content' for a single player to engage in a solo arena for.

After you have the stickerbook full it could go back to full RNG even. People can go for 'better' traits if they want.

There's code for the event boxes to give you only stuff you don't have yet, so it's doable.

Yea when I just started doing nMA it was fun, refreshing and challenging. I got an inferno staff on first run. Now 100 runs later it's just too repetitive and still now bow. vMA on the other hands is challenging.

its pure luck there is no skill or anything involved there are ppl doing that run for over 100 times to get a single damn item that another guy gets in his first run. u cant be serious.

RNG is not a bad thing aslong as u implement it well but in this case ur forced to do smthing specific over and over again the same bosses the same mobs the same attack patterns. im about to loose my mind here.

each time u think urself "hey this time is gonna work i failed so often it must work" and the game gives u another trash item u have no use for.

i wouldnt even mind it at all if they would just give some other loot on top like 5000 gold for each arena .... anything.

nononono... I wrote passives... on purpose. the last thing the green tree needs is more active skills that need slotting... ;-)

doesnt seem like it. after the patch i did alot of vateshran and i get often the same items and as i said i got like 2-3 lightning staffs in a day and actually got another lightning staff yesterday. it seems like RNG where some weapons have higher chances than others.

for example i think vateshran inferno staff and shield have lower chances.

still waiting on the lightning. got the fire already. and the shield.

talking of fire/lightning. is the dps boost on off balance enemies cp skill really gone? can I backbar fire now on my healers?

Tis the reason why I will never become a slave of grind, to just depend on mere luck be that in dungeons,boxes or trials even.

Vet has a guaranteed style page drop I think, I am pretty sure I completed the style pages while farming for the s/b.

Token system would def make farming feel less futile bc every run would be progressing towards the item you're after.

Chance is the same all the time.
However if you farm an dungeon with friends it get easier and easier to get items as people fill up their collection.

The first 7 runs I made through Vateshran I got a different weapon each time. Then I started to see duplicates. Statistically since I didn't have any yet the odds of getting something I didn't have was much higher, I thought it might have been because of the sticker book and wanting to fill it that I thought it might work that way.

No lightning staff yet but I have frost and fire. And sword and shield, couple different 2Hers, resto, one or two others.

For me at least it's a lot more enjoyable than farming Maelstrom weapons.
