Breton MagSorc DPS question

Hello all! I'm a returning player for console & I'm still a little confused regarding update 29.
My main, from nearly day 1, has always been a Breton. With CP & racial passives coming soon for us, I just wanted to know if Breton as a dps is still viable for end game content or do I need to bite bullet & make a change I've resisted for years?

Actually its one of the worst dmg wise. Orc does more dps than a Breton, and Argonian and Breton are on par with each other.
Breton is still viable but its definitely harder to hit the absolute highest dmg with it now. I personally had 92k Dps on my breton while my friend on a high elf had 95,5k so not a huge difference there but still a difference.1 -

If you're not pushing for top scores or the hardest achievements, no don't need to change, otherwise yes1 -

Viable? Yes.
Optimal? Depends.
If you have sustain issues it is a great choice, if you don't you'll definitely hit harder going with Altmer or Dunmer. Even Khajiit is way up there this patch
But either way, your race isn't going to make or break your build.0
