What would you expect from next year's Update?

I'm really not in the business of speculating about next year's content before I've even had a chance to touch any of this year's.

That said, something I do expect to start getting updates on before year's end is what approach Big M plans on taking in how the purchase will impact ESO's development going forward. Whether that approach ends up being "earth shattering changes incoming" or "we plan on being hands off" I expect to start hearing something.

New weapon skill lines would be nice. A dedicated melee options that is magicka based. The changes to the weapon passives in update 29 is nice and makes being a magicka based melee build less punishing.

But it is still punishing compared to using a staff.

I just want to play a spellblade like I've been able to in past Elder Scrolls games.

Also, Elder Scrolls 6 is developed by an entirely different team. ESO has nothing to do with it. Its development is delayed because of Starfield and nothing else.

This game is in dire need of some updates for combat, either a Magicka melee weapon, another ranged weapon that's maybe a Magicka / Stamina max or a new World / Guild skill line that has something for everyone (Magicka execute, hello).

Last year's Chapter was pretty poor feature-wise, this year's Chapter is even worse. They really need to step up their game to warrant a $40 price tag. I ain't buying Chapter with so less features until they drop down to $15. Got Greymoor for that price and it's okay, there's no need for me to get Blackwood either so...

If this stopped development, it wouldn't increase development on TES6 - that is a completely different studio.

Working on a new MMO seems the best option to get off the current engine and work on a better one - however, that can take years to do. Plus, a load of people would be pissed at them due to the time invested in ESO.

Personally, for me, just working on fixing the bugs and improving performance is the best option. It wouldn't bother me to not have any big content updates for a year if they just outright said it. How can my rig go from playing CP2077 / AC: Valhalla / WD: Legion without any issues on max - near-max settings, and on here (a 7 year old game), I have to tone down the settings a lot...?

EDIT: With the recent changes in Stadia, we could even see a downfall of it by the end of the year - which means that ZoS could revert all the changes they had to make just to optimised it for Stadia.

No, seriously, we haven't even started this year´s update, why speculate on what's coming next year. But if I get a wish, then I would like to play Maormer.

I guess an new class or skill line as its most common, another weapon type or even spellcrafting is something people want. But it could be some totally new stuff like companions.
QoL stuff like transmute, outfits and collections even housing tend to come outside of the main chapter.
In short we don't know if we get an new system in Q3 or Q4 this year.

We don't want or need anymore content. There is more to do in this game than any other mmo. Just improve performance and get the game out of 7 year beta
