Do you think Class Change should be added to Heroes Reforged?

Seems to me with such huge sweeping changes it's about time we get the ability to change classes, even if it's just for a one-off during this big change. What do you all think?
Apologies if this has already been raised.

I just wish there was some way to transfer progress from one character to another. Seeing DK gutted patch after patch (not that other classes haven't experienced something similar, just talking about the one with which I have the most experience) makes me want to simply stop playing that character, but the truth of the matter is that I don't want to swap to any of my other characters, it would take me hundreds of hours to get them caught up with my main.

    I don't.

They offer multiple character slots for free and more can be bought.

If someone wants another character they can start a new one. And it's about a million times easier to level up (than it used to be) and if someone wants to really throw down some money they can buy shards and skill lines now too.

That's is basically identical to my situation too.

It's never about leveling an alt to CP levels.
I have a few CP 1000+ alts. The problem is the effort to do the followings:

    PvP ranks
    Map exploration
    Titiles and achievements

Can you buy the rank of PvP warlord or even grand overlord? How long will it take?

Can you re-open all maps in a short time?

Can you re-obtain difficult titles in a short time?

You talked about paying. So why not just make a class change token with a high price?
Allowing one account can only use one token in a year or two years can fix the problem of keep changing classes if this is what ZOS concerning.
No improvement on Cyrodill servers -> no ESO plus renewal.

I honestly don't care but being kind of a contrarian every time this pops up in the forums I lean a little more towards no.

Nope. Not for me. But if all you folks think it's important I hope you get what you want.

Of course.... this is ZOS. So you should not only be prepared to pay through the ***** (that's self-censored as I don't need any more snark from the mods), but you should also be prepared for it not to work the way you think it should.

My answer would be no, and nothing to do with the patch but rather, once they allow you a class change, which I'm sure will be nice and hefty on price, then it will be bad for the overall health of the game. If people feel so massively compelled to change to a whole new class then they have to redo the stuff they have done before.

If class changing is allowed then nobody would ever need more than 1character and they would just change to whatever is meta for that update cycle, while complaining there is nothing left to do. This leads to burnout faster, and overall reduced time retention for people. Race change tokens, perhaps, and we do get 2 weeks free to redo skills and CP and attributes which will be enough on that part.

I was reading this as a one time deal. That I really wouldn't care. Class change on a whim, nah that is a bad idea.

Good points but it wouldn't be on a whim, either a one-off due to the scope of this update, or limited to once a year or similar per account is what I'm suggesting.

There is this game called FFXIV that completely disproves this theory.

Absolutely Not. Class change is only going to be a problem in ways that cannot be fathomed.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.
