Is there a better build for chaos ball than heavy armor werewolf? Not really.

since it's group content. and there are ways to boost your groups ult gain. 4 necro's would arguably be better than 4 ww's.

silence a WW and it cant heal, necro once transformed just kinda lives no matter what happens.

also sorry for segmented comments, i keep forgetting stuff .anyways, when ww loses 10k resistance on monday it's weakness to poison will become a real killer for it. as opposed to necro tanks just never dyeing.

The immortal werewolf builds you're used to seeing are gone in less than two days from now. They used Mighty Chudan with Alessia's and Crimson for sustain and durability, alongside their passive 10k resistances and innate health regen, and every aspect of that is being nerfed. Hircine's Fortitude now has a cap to its health regen, Alessia's is being capped at 1320 health regen, Crimson is a proc set and thus no longer functions, and Chudan is now useless, as the werewolf resistance buff now provides Major Resolve instead of the 10k it used to, meaning that a werewolf went from 17435 resistances between the 10k from werewolf, 1487 on Chudan and the 5948 from Chudan's Major Resolve down to merely 5948, with nothing even remotely as strong as Chudan to make up the missing 11487 resistances.

Alas this also doesnt truly correct the WW issue. WW's will simply go back to the former meta (for them). it is msot certianly a good start though. still, WW in BG with Torc of tonal. yeah, that'll suck. and even with hp regen reduced, 1320 hp regen will be enough comboed with increased WW heals.

speaking as a WW player myself. alessians is still quite useful. but the combo of eternal vigor and torc. for all that sweet regen to magicka. + i go imperial for the -6% reosurces. sorc for another -6%. for a total of -12% ability cost. THEN sorc passive that when i block my next ability costs 15% less. my heals will cost -27% + all that resoruce return.

    Harbinger cro with guard?
    Zaghigoth- Orc Stamplar
    Soul Razor- Altmer Magsorc
    Les Drago- Redguard Stamdk
    Eirius- Altmer Magdk
    Stormifeth- Altmer Magplar

While also a very good strat, I find chaos ball to be more favorable to those who are constantly moving and therefore not blocking.

During MyM I was having success running chaos on my mag sorc. 2 piece potentates for mit, and rapid regen with shields and dark deal. Dropping the aoe morph Atro to keep people back. I could turtle up and hold the chaos ball for around 2 mins before it got to be too much.

Minor nitpick, all of those sets are proc sets. Chudan, Alessia's, and Crimson. Also, unless they're expanding the test to BGs, those will all still work in battlegrounds.

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I used to run a heavy armor sorc in Chaos Ball. This was back health capped shields had just come in, but it didn't really affect me because I was still rocking ~50k health. It was a revolting mix of CC, sheer durability, visual noise (I was running all three pets and maw), and way too much mobility for something that sturdy.

There've been some nerfs, but I could probably still roll that today without too much difficulty. Granted, the character is a werewolf (from back when the +15% stam recovery was always on), but I doubt she's transformed in five years.

When Nightblade takes the ball, it becomes classless.

Yes, I do hate having to sort through a billion pets + proc creatures to kill things. A minor annoyance, but a valid one.
