What skills & passives are going to change due to CP revamp?

Have searched the pts thread, and other threads, & asked in guild, but no-one seems to be able to direct me to an actual list of what is changing due to the revamp of CP.

I ask, as having looked at info about the new CP system, it seems that somethings that are now skill line passives are now CP ones.

Are they instead of, or on top of?!!

(And not happy about having to actively slot MasterCrafter and Treasure Hunter in new system. Rather annoying, to say the least.)

On top of, when it comes to things like Meticulous Disassembly and Infamous and Fleet Phantom, etc. Is there a particular CP star you’re worried about replacing a skill line passive?

Good question OP - puzzles me too.

iirc a few of the ledgerdemain skills have found their way into the new CP system.

Got me wondering whether these skills would be replaced or whether spending points in the new CP would stack.

Am just curious about all the changes, as hear much rumblings & rumours, but would like actual clarity.

It is a huge overhaul all told. The biggest systematic change is that all nodes now require an investment of CP, and some nodes are always in effect passively once taken while others have to be slotted. (Changing slotted nodes is free, while removing CP from a node costs the standard 3k gold fee for respeccing.)

Some nodes have been removed entirely. Some stars have survived with their exact stats, like Treasure Hunter and Fortune’s Favor and Master Gatherer. Plentiful Harvest actually got a significant boost once you invest more than 10 CP: you can now get up to a 50% chance of a double resource on harvesting a node rather than just 10%. Some nodes have been changed: Shadowstrike was changed to help with making your escape after using the Blade of Woe. There are many brand new nodes, like Homemaker (10% chance to get a second furnishing plan whenever you find one in the world) and several related to fishing.

The nodes that seem to replicate skill line passives do stack: Infamous gives you 25% more gold for fenced items on top of Haggler. Rationer extends food and drink time beyond the passives in provisioning. Meticulous Disassembly gives about a 12.5% extra yield of tempers from refining when paired with 3/3 extraction passives from the skill lines.

And all of that doesn’t fully cover the green tree.

UESP’s Build Editor and ESO Hub’s CP calculator can be very helpful in seeing the way the nodes are related and what each one does.

    Thanks.

Have had a look at the CP site, but am more interested in what changes, if any, are occurring to the passives we already have as part of skill lines. Or race. Or whatever.

Go pts forum read patch notes.

Read the patch notes for the live server on Monday.

The biggest changes to skill line passives will be the armor lines, although racial passives and a few other scattered ones are also being adjusted:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/559360/pts-patch-notes-v6-3-0

There were some tweaks in later incrementals, and of course further changes could be made with Monday’s update. The best bet for the most accurate info on changes to passives will be to read the live patch notes that come with the update then.

But the passive skills that are replicated in CP aren’t getting touched for the most part. They don’t intend to take power away from skill lines to add it into the CP system. They’re looking at CP as an extension of what we can already get with skills.

Thank you for answering, especially in regards to the CP things appearing to be in addition, rather than instead of, passives at the moment.

Yes, will check patch notes again, but agree won’t fully know until it goes live. But just wanted to get some glimmer of fact amid all the rumours, complaining and general doom-saying! 🙂

The Exploiter CP passive has been removed entirely, meaning there are far fewer people who will benefit from Off-Balance. DKs and Wardens each have one skill that hits harder against Off-Balance, and then anyone needing to heavy attack for resources will continue to benefit because Off-Balance enemies give twice the resources back.

For everyone else, though, that 10% extra damage to Off-Balance enemies is gone, so there’s less call for making sure that status effect is applied as widely and often as possible. Tanks that need the resource recovery may still run them, or ask for them, but the universal benefit has gone away.
