From what I’m seeing stam sets that are BiS now should be pretty much the same once FoA goes live. Also Selene isn’t really being nerfed so much as being made more reliable. For classes like stamplar it could be considered a nerf however most other classes it’s overall a buff. Personally speaking I’m moving my stam classes away from monster sets and moving towards arena weapons. My mag classes will still run monster sets tho.

Crit damage remains unchanged while crit chance is nerfed, so crit chance sets are even more needed than before
However, Maces/Mauls seems like very good option. Mauls are certainly BiS (crit damage is high even without Battleaxe, weapon damage is high even without Greatsword, only penetration is something we should be after) allowing you to go precise and still retain sufficient penetration levels.

I am exactly like you, maining magplar for 6 years then I switched to stamplar just last patch. It is a very fun transition and I think you’ll enjoy it.
On the pts, the biggest problem facing stamina classes in general is the lack of sufficient penetration because magicka dps will be at 17k out of 18k penetration without even trying (maxed at 18k with perfected maelstrom staff). As a result, the heavily nerfed alkosh will never again be used in trials where magicka dps are present (so, all of them).
This means, reaching that penetration cap is up to you. Running double maces in sharpened with all the cp in penetration, then adding the minor and major breech only got me to 17k out of 18k penetration.
Because of this new need to find penetration sources ourselves, crit chance is much much lower. Building for crit with precise daggers and AY compared to building for penetration with sharpened maces in the Deadly set resulted in a MASSIVE dps advantage to the Deadly set focusing on penetration. Deadly was only marginally worse than AY for update 28, but next patch with the nerfs to crit chance and the need for penetration leads me to believe that Deadly will be the new go to for stamplars.
Also, while I liked the playstyle of stamplar much more than magplar, don’t expect to get into too many veteran dlc trials because most groups are allergic to stamina. PvP is more fun though
