Custom made Quest by Guilds, Do they exist ?

I am wondering if There is any guild that has Custom Quest made by the guild themselves that players have to solve?

It could be that the guilds officers are "NPC's" that you have to find or solve where they are and interact with and get to a certain part of the story.

Example : A Curious figure is playing drums on the highest point near a Capital, rumour says he may reward whoever is able to solve his riddle and find his hidden treasure.

Not like in an official sense, but some guilds (especially social ones) do sometimes make up games or through guild hall parties. I have seen things like scavenger hunts (hiding a really small furnishing item ion an obscure place and offering a reward to the first person to find it and point it out, giving occasional clues if everyone seems stumped) and lawn darts (building scaffolding to climb up to a tall height in a house, then leap off and try to land your body on a custom-crafted target with a prize offered for hitting the target - that one it's preferable for whoever is running it to keep soul gems on-hand to rez the poor darts LOL).

No, it was an RPG. But it had a multiplayer mode & custom adventures.


MMO-wise, City of Heroes & Star Trek Online had "build your own mission & share it with other players" systems, but they ended up getting repeatedly nerfed as people exploited them in search of better 'efficiency', and STO's was removed a couple years ago due to how much work it took to keep the system running after every patch.

We've had horse races, thieving competitions, "find the screenshot location", and one of my other guilds had a game where one player would hide and the first person to find them would get a prize.

I remember ZOS once had a Cyrodiil orienteering challenge, which was a lot of fun.

That is basically how some groups or guilds approach role-playing, but there are limitations. Mainly you have to do it at a set time because the quest can only run when the people involved are online and able to play their parts, it won't show in the quest journal and of course there's no way to automatically award loot at the end - any rewards have to be mailed by one of the people running it.

But the basic idea is the same - a group of players is set a task which likely involves speaking to several other people (like quest NPCs, but they're players acting out the part), exploring a location somewhere and probably solving some sort of mystery or defeating a dangerous enemy. (Either they use a world boss or something as the quest boss or sometime do it via duelling.)

There's also lots of guilds who do less complicated activities like hide & seek, scavenger hunts and other 'mini game' type activities. Some are quick, others can go on for weeks with new clues being given out periodically.

I was thinking of the screen shot game, since I try to find the treasure maps On my own , I can see that being a fun part of events.

I also received a 200k Motif from a random player who would post in some chat, the first person to find him in the tallest building in audition zone chat, kinda who has inspired me into that.

I will look into finding a guild that does this on pc na or make one.

Thanks so much, really that is exactly what I wanted to explore.

To think that there is an addon that makes custom quest for people is the ultimate mmo idea.

I Imagine what quests people would make and this is quite amazing.
