We are currently investigating issues some players are having logging into the PTS. We will update as new information becomes available.

As a somewhat new player in this game i feel overwhelmed.

Just logged in to the pts to see the new champion system for myself for the first time.
I tried adding points as best as i could and i have halved my dps lol

Hope there is some errors on dummy's...

but seriously i feel bad for the players with a few months into this game who already think the old system is hard lol

    The old system was easy and cookie cutter - you could ask anyone who runs end game regularly what to use for CP's. There are event charts online for what to use.

    The new CP system is hard, the old one took a quick google.

    To be fair the first week to actually test the CP was this week. Now that the dummy resistance bug has been fixed there will be a lot better guides for them. Skinnycheeks even said that he likes this system better because it is easier to tell lower level CP where to invest their points.

    I agree -- but I would argue it's more challenging if you plan to rotate activatable CP's for varying content.

    But it is more explanatory in what to expect from each CP, which is nice.

    The new system (from what i've gathered as i don't have PTS) seems like it will be nothing but annoying. As a player in general the last thing I want to be doing is having to constantly adjust CP allocation. As a console player I expect this will be doubly tedious.

    I'm sure PC already has addon's in the works to quickly swap stars based on pre-saved layouts which can be toggled based on content. On the console i anticipate this being an absolute tedious pain in the ass.

    its really pretty simple. I would not worry about changing stuff out all the time because you wont have the cp for that until around 1800 or so.

    For most all content out side of Vet HM Trials, you should not need to move your CPs around, even if change gear. PvP should require different allocations, but that is why you have character slots.

    People chasing leaderboard times, they may want to make some changes, but those goals have always required sacrifices.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    I really like the new system and I won't be swapping slottables around, i'll be maxing out passives first.

    I'm hearing from my guild that the dummy is parsing low. I don't know why, someone will no doubt work out what's wrong before too long.
