Thank you for benefiting players hoarding gold mats!

In players, you COULD read big trading guilds or what not but yeah... The nerf to plentiful harvest will slow down the rate at which the market prices will reach more reasonable levels.

Heard there was a big push starting this summer from big trading guilds encouraging their members to buy gold mats on the market which effectively doubled their prices. That plentiful harvest passive was gonna flatten that upwards curve and potentially punish those who hoarded gold mats by the 100s and 1000s alas this was not meant to be.

The passive will help in correcting the prices but not as much and as fast as I wished it to.

of all the things to nerf in the green tree they chose the most useful. Especially with the every 3 months need new gear swing changes they made. Looks like ZoS is more concerned with the gold farmers well being over its general player group.

Yep, feels like I have to become a ressource farmer to keep my gear golded out. Don't get me wrong, I have A LOT of gold but seeing the market being viable at 6-8k Tempering Alloy for years with the occasional spike up and down, seeing them at 12k+ (and 12k is a good price if you don't spend your days looking for good prices and actually play the game), it's hard toncough up the gold.

Should we @ ZOS staff? XD

It seems like a trivial matter but the economy of the game is a significant part of it.

Gold mats price decline wont only depend on plentyful harvest but as well on meticulous disasembly no?

As that one was bugged afaik might be a bit early to worry to much...
ShutYerTrap (selectively mute NPC dialogues (stuga, companions); displayleads (antiquity leads location); UndauntedPledgeQueuer (small daily undaunted dungeon queuer window)

I believe it is better to bring up the issue now and gain a potential change than to not say anything and let this issue remain next patch.

There have been threads petitioning for a nerf to this passive, it seems to have worked now let there be counterforces.

And quite honestly, if you're petitioning to nerf something granting the player base access to more gold resources, you're clearly hoarding mats for your own benefit.

I'm not condemning their actions, they're taking advantage of the system with current mat farm rates and extraction rates. If they start messing with the market and buying more than they use and siphoning the market with current extraction rates, the easiest solution to the benefit of a free market and dissuading against market manipulation is to rework drop and extraction rates.

The PTS is for testing. I guess ZoS determined that a guaranteed double drop is a bit too much.

It's still a significant improvement over what you can do on Live.

They're not making it worse than it currently is...
The Unshattered - Tenacious Dreamer - Hurricane Herald - Xalvakka's Scourge - Godslayer - Dawnbringer - Gryphon Heart - Tick Tock Tormenter - Immortal Redeemer - Dro-m'Athra Destroyer
The Unchained - The Brilliant - Moth Trusted - The Just - Oathsworn - Bedlam's Disciple - Temporal Tempest - Curator's Champion - Fist of Tava - Invader's Bane - Land, Air, and Sea Supremacy - Zero Regrets - Battlespire's Best - Bastion Breaker - Ardent Bibliophile - Subterranean Smasher - Bane of Thorns - True Genius - In Defiance of Death - No Rest for the Wicked - Nature's Wrath - Undying Endurance - Relentless Raider - Depths Defier - Apex Predator - Pure Lunacy - Mountain God - Leave No Bone Unbroken - CoS/RoM/BF/FH Challenger

They are playing diamond hands with the game economy making it unplayable for most people. So they are thanking ZOS [snip]

Not making it worse than a bad situation is a gain yes but leaves a lot to be desired.

I made another post basically asking what the point of the roller-coaster was. Why not be more conservative at first? It simply leaves less rooms for disappointment. Yes it is for testing but I don't think they do these changes without any mathematical model behind them so seing drastic changes every week is destabilizing.

Let's put it this way, this week, this passive is 100% weaker than it was last week.

God forbid we put gold farmers out of business so everyone else can actually enjoy the game. The reconstruction system was a huge blow to them and this would of been the smoking gun.

Can everyone agree how much fun they have when they see a platinum node, start running towards it then you see a sorcerer using his bolt escape to reach it first and does the same to every subsequent node on your farming route you use to collect materials for using YOURSELF!

This is fine if they double triple the drop rate of heartwood. I get heartwood from nodes less often than other furnishing mats, its used in twice as many plans as any other mat and the plans it is used in are base furnishing items rather that decorative knit knacks. Then they make it worse by requiring an excessive amount of it for some events.

You don't own "your" farming route. If you think the other player is a bot, report them. Otherwise, oh no, how dare a streaking sorc nab nodes for themself?

The worst hate tells I've gotten from other players weren't from PVP. It was from people I'd beaten to unguarded resources nodes. Apparently, they operated under the principle of "I saw it, so its mine", forgetting that other players wearing sprinting gear exist and might just be faster than them, farming their own route. One memorable guy was so PO'ed that I'd dare grab nodes he wanted during a double resource drop event. Didn't I know I was rude and should shove off and farm somewhere else?

I learned to farm alchemy reagents in the competitive fires of the Hollow City. Don't ever count your flowers before you've picked them.

Why would gold farmers benefit from this passive less than other players?
Just because prices might drop thanks to the increased supply, that doesn't mean that dedicated farmers will suddenly be unable to hoard less materials.

I mean how about you don't try to police what's allowed to be fun and what isn't.

I mean I don't see anyone standing behind you with a gun forcing you to gold out all your equipment, you aren't denied vital services because someone else is powerfarming.

In CP 1.0 we have only 10% bonus, so 50% is still a lot - double chance was too much. It's MMO after all so I don't see a reason to make players complete indepedent - farming, crafting writs and selling mats are also part of a game, some people want to do this and make a profit from this. Alo what's the point of gear tiers if golden level will be so easy and cheap for everyone?

My point was it's a pain in the @$$ farming for your own use as it is. I already look elsewhere when someone is farming my route and never get pissed and send messages to anyone over beating me to a node.
With the 100% double chance it would of made the process easier for those of us farming just to play the game and devalue the price of raw and upgrade materials for the gold farmers abusing it.

I play only on ps4 so no bot farmers just a grade A ****bag. Usually it's in the starter zones you will see the lvl 4, naked character in the same area 1 stroke farming nodes the moment they spawn. No new player is farming nodes for fun hours on end. Especially when it's the same dude 3-4 days in a row, still lvl 4 and still in the same spot.

If you were on PC, I'd say that looks like a bot or at best, someone using an autoclicker while AFK. I'll test them with the Questionable Meat Sack - any human player will recognize that they are picking up the memento instead of the node after a couple of times. If they don't? Whelp, I'll report it to ZOS and etc them sort it out.

    ???????????

If you double the number of drops for everyone and there is less of a necessity to buy materials, the guy hoarding the mats is just stuck with even more mats than before. Prices go down for the benefit of the most.

They will simply hoard them but you won't need to buy as much which, with less demand on the market and double the supply, prices will go down.

They heard a rumour...which isn't true. They were happy people were getting punished for rumor but they want more punishment.

P.S The real reasons prices went up is because less bots in game now.

It's nice to have gold / legendary gear. But the only really necessity at first is gold weapons. You can build up your own gold mats by doing writs or farming. Or you can do it quickly by buying the seller's asking price. But just remember the differences between purple/epic and gold/legendary are not that significant, except the weapons. Personally, I have more gold than I need, but I refuse to buy mats at this prices (though I could). I will never upgrade a purple/epic ring unless it is for something that I will use repeatedly like SPC.
