Maw of Infernal Daedroth Follows Stealthed Nightblade

Was just in a duel today as a Nightblade against a PetSorc. When I stealthed, the Maw of Infernal daedroth followed me when I was in stealth form as well as attacked me. Is this standard/expected or an unintended behavior? Seems like a bug considering nothing mentions the Maw having ability to see stealthed people.

✭✭✭✭I don’t duel, but I have seen many instances where my PvE stamblade uses cloak (Shadowy Disguise) when spotted by NPC enemies and they continue to follow instead of stopping and waiting to continue pursuit until I lose cloak. I oftentimes cannot lose them even if I break line of sight and go around corners or in another room. I am unable to move outside of their range of detection while cloaked because they continue to chase me. This is not the typical behavior that I have seen while playing - this is my main toon that I play every day.
It sometimes works but more than 50% of the time it doesn’t.
I think I noticed the change when Greymoor was released.
